Hi,

It will be first night at disney next June and we plan to go Epcot and watch Illuminations and get something to eat from Harry Ramsden's Fish and Chip shop. We are staying on site at Pop Century so will spend a while looking at all the massive figures around the hotel and the themed pools too.

For the first day as we will be up early due to the time difference we are going to head to Universal.

Was just wondering what other people do?

my husband thinks we're staying on international drive for the first 2 nights of our holiday, so as far as he's concerned we're going from the airport to the magic kingdom for a cookie (explanation of why is below!!) and to get our annual passes activated, then we're off to TGI fridays on I-drive for dinner and a few bevvies.
but whats actually happening is:
we're going from the airport to the animal kingdom lodge (had to convince him to go to MK on the first night for a cookie (?!) so he didnt get suspicious when we drove past the I-drive signs), bypassing the check in desk because we're staying killimanjaro club concierge level with a savannah view!! so we'll check in then go and watch the animals from our balcony with a free drink from the concierge lounge!!!
cant wait to see the look on his face when we drive up to the AKL!!!

Evening of arrival is usually Downtown Disney
First day and departure day is always Magic Kingdom
This has become a quite a tradition over the years and it would not feel the same doing anything different :goodvibes

We're staying at Pop too but have decided the first night to hang around the resort. We only have a 14 day ticket and think we'll get more out of it that last day than the first.

The second day is my DBF birthday so we're doing MK in the morning (he's never been to Disney so thought this the best plan) then having dinner at Yachtsman so were gonna head back after the 3pm parade get changed then go to EPCOT for an hour or two so I can see Kool & the Gang (its the only day they are on)

Depends on where we are staying, most of our recent holidays we have just been based in Orlando and usually in a villa.
All we do is unpack and I go to Publix, that's it, Joshua is far too tired to go out anywhere.

Our last holiday and next year's too are split stays on-site and villa. So first few nights we are at Polynesian, I would imagine we would settle ourselves down, unpack and have a look around the resort. Probably after getting Joshua something to eat.

Next few days we are concentrating on WDW theme parks, as the location is ideal for Magic Kingdom we will visit there the next 2 morning's with other parks probably in the afternoon.
So our first full day will be a character breakfast at Grand Floridian, followed by Magic Kingdom, maybe returning there early evening.

We will be visiting Universal several times but that won't be until we get to the villa.

To be honest we like doing so many other things and it's not just about Disney for us, may times we have done a traditional 2 centre holiday and been to many other parts of Florida.

Snap  Although I am not sure how this is going to work next year with a 15 month old :confused3

On the first evening we usually check out the hotel and grocery shop, then bring in a takeaway. First full day we're usually up around 6am, so we normally go out for brekkie (as normally we wake up famished) and then head to the outlet stores/ Walmart for some shopping. We tend then to go back to the hotel for a nap after which we go to DTD for the afternoon/ evening or head to MK.
Some people like to have a plan for the first night and first day and stick to it - great if that works, but we like to have a few contingency plans if we're too knackered after the flight to do much (which usually we are :rotfl: )

We always stay in a villa so on when we arrive we usually dump the luggage and head off to the nearest Publix then we come back and chill out in the pool, usually too tired to do much else. Are up early next morning and spend the day at MK:hippie:

we are staying at the BCV so will take a wlk over to Epcot

last time plane was delayed so it was bed time when we finally got there
hit the pillow

first night for us,16inch pizza with double peperonie with a 6 pack of buds for me

We are staying on International Drive at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites when we land check in etc and have a wander about, look for dinner and a few bevvies as it is just me and hubby and our first Florida trip. The next day we are off to the Florida Mall for some shopping and then we meet up with some good friends who are coming to meet us for the weekend from Ohio after which we will theme park like mad

Another vote for pizza and beers when arrive. Tried a meal once and was way too tired

We usually go to a mall the first full day, but next time we are going to MK and take advantage of getting up early
