hi all
What do you do on your first morning at the resort?
From experience we tend to wake up so early( this time will also have 3 year old).
Breakfast doesn't start til 7 and don't think the pool will be open. Can't see the kids surviving in the room for hours! Any suggestions?
Many thanks

We have always sent DD back to bed until at least 6am - we then get up showered and dressed and head for some food.

We make sure we pick up something to drink the night before to have while we are getting ready as well.

Perkins is 24 hours for an early breakfast.
There are several walks around the Universal hotels, I'm sure the front desk could give you a map.
But seriously, we also stay in bed until 6:30am (otherwise we are crashed out mid afternoon), get up and hit the parks for opening. Breakfast can wait!

My husband always manages to stay asleep the first morning, despite my best efforts to wake him up. However, my daughter and I (when she used to travel with us) were always awake by 4am, so we would throw on some clothes and go out and explore the resort, watch the sunrise and grab a drink and pastry from the food court (RPR has the Orchid Lounge which opens at about 6am I believe) when it opened. Now it's just me who is up early so I usually read my Kindle or check FB/emails until everyone else surfaces.

Thanks, I can't see the 3 year old managing past 4!! Good to know the food court will be open at 6. Husband and 8 year old are likely to sleep so will need to get her out of the room before she wakes them both!!
