First Look at the “Tronorail”

what has disney done :confused3 gah!! I dont like public advertizing in disney... Dont those things in the windows make it hard to see??? Doesn't it turn everything blue???? I for one am not a fan...

They are pretty much like any of the "overlays" that Disney has used on the Monorails in the past. From the inside, you don't even realize these things are on there. It's hard to describe, but all you see from the inside is the "shape" of the pictures. You can still see perfectly clearly out of the windows. Can someone else explain this a little better, perhaps?

Was there the first day it ran. It does look nice, from a distance, but up close no so much. I do not like being inside any of the trams that have the "stuff" on the windows and trying to look thru it. It is a "wrap", very easy seen with the doors open. Will post some pictures later, when I figure it out.

Saw it this week in person - my kids really liked it. It was cool - very different - it sure stood out. I do believe it is a decal - when you get in you can see the pink wrapping around into the door - so I think it can just be removed.

My experience with the wraps in the past is that there are actually a lot of gaps in the wrap that allow light through from the outside. Since not a lot of light is in the cabin, it looks solid on the outside.

And I seriously doubt this movie tanks.

I love it. It is designed to look good from a bit of a distance, not up close. I have no doubt that if you are 10 feet from it the decal doesn't look as nice as it does from a distance.

The should wrap monorail orange in a Tigger motif. Black and orange stripes could look kinda cool. :)

What about the other colors guys?

It is only on the EPCOT lines from what i saw..MGK ones are still normal

Correct. It is only monorail teal covered in the wrap and it stays on the Epcot line only. All other monorails are unaffected.

We didn't get to see it up close, but from a distance and in motion we thought it looked pretty sharp.

[edit] Nuts...no pics until 10 posts.

Saw it yesterday, going around Epcot. Looked pretty good. Hopefully the movie will make it, or else bye-bye monorail Tron.............
