We plan on doing this for my 15 month old sons first trip in May... I know it's somewhere right on Main St, and it opens at 9am.....
Anything else I need to know? Do you need reservations? Anyone have pics??

I'm just sooo excited about this....I've never even seen the place in all my trips there, but have been planning this since I heard about it last yr!!

It's right near the front on the left. My ds had his first haircut there in November. It was a nice cut. Here's some pics.

My son Hunter got his first Disney haircut there too. You really should try to go first thing when it opens. It is on the left hand side as you go into Magic Kingdom main street. The barbers there are wonderful and they gave my son lots of stickers to keep him busy! They also give you a certificate and Mickey ears.

Have fun!

3boys4me... Love the pics!! Thanks for sharing... I'm so excited... silly moms
LOL

how much does it cost to get a cut there? My DS is 2 and has already had his first hair cut, but it may be something fun for him to do.

We had DS first haircut done in Disney. It was an awesome experience. He was 8 months old at the time so we were nervous, but Michal was so good with him. He covered him in a billion stickers to divert his attention and when he started to get restless Michal brought out a Mickey toy. We also went back when he was 14 months and got his third haircut (his hair grows soo fast.) We waited for Michal again and he did another great job.

I am going to attempt to add pictures.

Sorry they are soo big....I'm still new to this.

This was one of the highlights of my trip. My 19 month old sat so still and was sooo serious about it all. I am sure the 50 or so Mickey stickers they put all over her helped. We were at the MK 3 or 4 days, so we would just check the line when we were in that area and one day it was short...so we did it! It was relatively quick, similar in price to cost cutters, we received a certificate, a lock of hair, Minnie Ears that said first Haircut on the back and pixie dust in the baby's hair & her big sister's hair too. Sorry, I don't have the photos handy right now--I took a ton.

I believe it was $15.00. We were there in May 2008 and October 2008 and it was the same price both times. Definitely worth it!!:thumbsup2

I noticed you have older children too. When our baby got his first hair cut we timed for 3:00 (parade time). The parade goes right in front of the barber shop and there is also a bench for the older kids to sit on. Main street was really crowded that day but we were the only ones in front of the barber shop. Just something to consider if you need something to keep the older ones occupied.

If you want to go this route, check to see if the parade is starting on main street or in adventureland. If adventureland, then it will be about 3:20 before the parade gets to the barber shop.

I'm thinking about getting my DD her first haircut this trip. She'll be 21 months old and has CRAZY hair! I figure this is as good a time as any!
