Actually, is 10 the magic number for a grand gathering? It sounds like it is going to be a fun trip. You will have to do the photopass CD and get lots of pictures of your group. I prepurchased mine to get a discount and if everyone chipped in, it wouldn't cost that much, think it is about $100 total. Then once you get it, just make copies of it to give to everyone.

Actually, Biergarten would be fun, and I still vote for Whispering Canyon Cafe. Both of those are loud though, well Biergarten doesn't get loud until the show starts. Oh, and I know you ruled out 50's Primetime, but it might be more fun with a large group and with other children there yours might handle it better.

We have never done the Jedi Academy Training. Just never made it, but hope to soon. Basically from what I hear, you get there early and your child may or may not be selected. It is an open stage next to Star Tours.

Yeah I brought up Biergarten to my Mom and she said, oh Dad would love that, but I don't think anyone else would. So we'll see. And I looked up Grand Gatherings and we are a grand gathering. It's minimum 8 people not including kids under 3. Well my baby and my niece are under 3 so that drops our count to 8 exactly. I have so much more planning to do now, it said we can set up an appointment with a photographer too, I LOVE photos so that will be fun. I need to do some more research on this, I love things that keep me busy, and this will keep me busy for sure. Though like I said they don't want us to be attached at the hip so we'll all still have our small alone family time. And super bonus is I no longer need daycare for my kids while hubby and I have our one nice dinner for our anniversary.

oh and yes thanks for the photo pass tip, that I had already grabbed from someone elses post and I have the page saved for pre-ordering. I think my parents would split the tab with us on that, not sure if my sister would want her own or not since they also have a little one taking her first trip, and the fact that it will be both my sister and brother-in-laws first trip too. I'll have to double check.

Oh, you read my TR, but I had to re-mention that we are picky eaters also, not as much as Jacob, but we loved Biergarten's food. Especially their potato soup, I have been trying to find a good recipe ever since.

On the photopass, you can put in as many photopass cards as you have, so the whole family can share. You may end up with pics of family members you don't want, but $100 split between 3 familys is better than 2. I've actually wondered about ordering it and then go several weekends in a row and get pics taken.

Now that I think about it, you may see us at DHS when you go, especially if you go on a Fri, Sat, or Sun. We will probably hit the Star Wars weekends every weekend next year because they have different limited edition pins each weekend (I believe???) and I want to get them all. Doesn't help to love pins and Star Wars.

I am so excited for you, this is going to be a great trip. A Grand Gathering!!!

Ok, so a lot of questions on that one , this trip is so different from our honeymoon, on the honeymoon we didn't do any shows, looked mostly for thrill rides, and we really didn't have a plan at all. big shock coming from me I know, but I was planning a wedding, working full-time, and going to school full-time, left little time to plan the honeymoon out. I may or maynot be MIA for a few days, my mother-in-law arrives today and will be staying through until like monday or tuesday, so I'm off to clean some more.

When we were there in June this past year, we did this during the evening EMH. Most of the dinosaur had been dug up, but the little ones may enjoy that more because they can see what they are looking for. We only spent about 20 minutes there, if that long.

Ok, I'm back and ready to post my Epcot gibberish. And it really is, cause like I said I didn't realize how very little time we did spend in Epcot. That will be next, but first

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. Here are my boys in costume, of course Woody and Buzz.

My little one always smiles like that, the big one use to, I'm just happy he sat for the picture (after much coaxing). I'm hoping to try once more for a picture of them together where they both are smiling.

Here are my must sees (based on what I read):

*The Seas with Nemo and Friends (I think we did this at Disneyland, or a variation on it, it use to be the submarine ride and they changed it to Nemo)
*Turtle Talk with Crush (we saw this on a tv special and it looked like fun)
*Illuminations (where is the best place to see this, and how early do we have to reserve our spot?)
*Gran Fiesta Tour starring the three Caballeros - I loved that cartoon. Is this like a small world type ride? We will be in a boat right? any drops or anything, or just slow smooth sailing?
*Test Track (I realize my little ones won't be able to do this, so I'm hoping just me and hubby to ride while someone else in our party watches the kids, we didn't get to do this on our honeymoon, but we really wanted to, the line was just too long when we went)

Melissa, what is the ride with the Mickey shaped pumpkins? Do they have those all year, I want to do that one too.

Here are others, time permitting:

Soarin' (I'm afraid I might get sick on this ride though, thoughts?)
Journey into Imagination with Figment (what ride can you compare this to that is at MK)

Maelstrom (does this ride really get crowded? it says it's a fast pass ride)

Biergarten will be fun. Don't have any info on the other two restaurants you mentioned.

Oh, they are starting a Kim Impossible Adventure or something like that. Not sure if it is taking place of the Kidcot stuff, but your boys might like it. IT is a mission your kids go on in every country. Your kids will have fun in Innovations. Spaceship Earth is another one you can all go on. Not sure how they will react to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. I think that about covers it though.

Love the halloween pic. They are so cute. Jacob barely smiles for pics anymore either. We either get a frown, a mad face, or he does some silly pose.

you answered so fast on that one, lol. Thanks, all great tips for me. I appreciate it. I've sent my Mom my 3 plans so far and she was delighted so she could add to them for what her and my Dad will do while the boys and I go back to the room for a nap each day. And she of course asked about MK, and I told her I'm waiting until the very end for that one, cause it's two days, and I have so many plans for that one (in my head without even looking at the website or my book).

So I told her I was planning for what to do outside the parks, and she said huh she didn't know we could do things outside the parks.

While I'm making my list, do you have anything (a hotel, a restaurant outside the parks, a store, a place, anything outside the parks that sticks out in your head) that you think is a must see? I want to go to the toy store I've heard about that has a mr potato head bar (like the light saber thing your son did) do you know which store that is?

Ok, I'm off to tend to my crabby son, The baby has been waking up so early these days, he doesn't understand about the time change. Even though I tell him every morning he can go back to bed. And even though I try to keep him up later each night, he still keeps waking up between 430am and 6 am, he is driving me NUTS.

My son is waking up on his own now also. Misses up my morning routine. Hopefully it won't take long for yours to get back in his routine.

First off, I want to say, don't overplan, but you know what, as long as your are flexible, overplan all you want and then just go with the flow once you get there. One thing, being there in June, it is so hot and humid that it just drains you, or it does us. Not sure how your son is, but Jacob hates to sweat. Guess we live in the wrong area now.

The Toy Store is one of the first stores you come to when you get off the bus at DTD. Can't remember if it is East or West side, but it's not the one for Pleasure Island. I'm wondering if the name of that stop has changed since all of the clubs are now closed at Pleasure Island. Need to research that.

Of course you will also want to see the World of Disney store. At night they have a dance party for the kids at DTD. But night time is crazy. It ends up being shoulder to shoulder people. But since the clubs are closing, it may not be as bad now. I'm curious to see how much has changed with those clubs closing. Wouldn't recommend DisneyQuest as your boys are too young.

Other things to do outside of the parks. Since there is a large group of you going, maybe a boat rental. I think WL (isn't that where you are staying) has them. I think there might be a lot more you can do at WL, but since we haven't stayed there, can't help you with that one. I'm sure someone else will. You may want to look into one of the Illuminations cruises also. I'd like to do that sometime.

If you fall in love with pins, you will have to check out the Pin Traders store at DTD. I probably spent an hour in there.

Oh, they have a build your own light saber in the Tattoine Traders, the store you exit into after Star Tours and also at the toy store at DTD. Since you will be there during SW Weekends, if you actually go on the weekend to HS, you will not want to do the build your lightsaber there, but will want to go to DTD to do it. I knew about the DTD one, but Jacob wanted it right then, so I waited for about an hour to do it at HS. The things we do for our kids.

You are making a good decision to go 2 days at MK. EMH is great and in June they are normally open for EMH until 2 or 3am. Our first time going, it was going to be open until 4:00am, we made it to 3 and didn't get back to the hotel until 4:00am. It was fun, but Jacob stayed behind with his Grandma. You could just about walk on to any ride except for Space Mountain.

You are going to have so much fun!

I'm a planner though, to every detail, but like I said I understand all my plans could end up in the trash on any day while there.

Having a big party I want lots of options for us and for them, because I know we will be back at the hotel for a few hours each afternoon. We are staying at All Star Movies, at least that is the plan, you know the whole Woody Buzz thing

I need a nap. The baby just went down, my son is still asleep, but I can't nap cause I watch a little boy and of course he is up , lol.

I just got tickets for Disney on Ice , I'm so excited. It's just going to be me and my 3 yo. It's going to be a surprise. An early Christmas gift, though he won't really understand that concept. I debated it, but I got such a good deal on the tickets I couldn't pass them up. That will be Dec 10th, so it will be like a pre-show/trip to get us ready for the BIG trip in June.

Do you know when the clubs are closing? I had heard that before too, but they were still in the planning book, so I wasn't sure if it was still happening. I was hoping my Sister, Mom, and I could do a club one night. We didn't really celebrate our b-days last year with the birth of my second child and my sisters first child. And my sister turned 21 and my Mom turned 50 (shhhh) last year-so kind of big events. I'll have to have a back up for that plan then.

So that was one thing, and the store with the Mr. Potato head things. I also want to go to the Christmas store I read about (is that year round?)

Then there is a campfire sing-a-long at fort wilderness that I thought could be fun.

and I read about a Fireworks Wagon Ride at Fort wilderness too, it says it's a 45 minute ride and it stops on the lake to watch the fireworks and plugs into the music from the show (I thought this would be neat because we wouldn't have to stake out a spot for an hour, even though that is often half the fun)

Of course at this point these are all just "ideas"

I really want to eat at Boma one night too. Or that Whispering Canyon restaurant.

Does anyone know, if you are on the dining plan and your party splits up to eat in two seperate places, how does that work? I know one night hubby and I are going to have a meal without the kids, so they will go with my parents for that meal. But also my parents and my sister are getting a suite together, but they don't want to eat all their meals together.

Ok, I guess I should get some chores done while the kids are sleeping. I had horrible migraines yesterday and this place fell apart. What would my family do without me.

The clubs closed the weekend we were there. One thing I haven't gotten to do, but have wanted to is at the Port Orleans Riverside they have a piano bar and this guy really puts on a show.

Plus, as far as a girls night out, walking around the World Showcase can be fun. Not sure if your are a drinker, but I personally have wanted to "drink" around the world. They have little stands where you can buy alcohol. I would love to stop in Mexico for a Fiesta Margarita (three different margaritas in one serving.) It is like a slushie. Then stop in Italy for an Italian Margarita, and then hit France for the Gray Goose drink they have. Haven't tried the last two, but the Fiesta is wonderful. There is also a bar at the 50's Primetime Cafe at HS.

Oh, and I did get confused about the hotel. I should fully wake up before getting on the Dis. AS Movies should be fun. If they are anything like ASMusic which had lots of activities at the main pool.

As far as the Dining Plan. They are charged against your room tickets. So, I guess you would be 2 adults and 1 child. I don't know how they do the younguns exactly. So for each night you get 1 sit down, 1 counterservice, and 1 snack (of course I think some of this is changing next year so this may be incorrect). You just work it out with the server. Tell them your room key pays for your family, your parents for theirs, etc. The servers really help you out. We got really confused on our last trip because the previous trip the tip was included and then it wasn't on the last one and we couldn't figure out how to do it. Took about 3 meals to get it straight and I went and asked at the info desk at the hotel. Another great place for help when you get there.

That is great about Disney on Ice. Which show are you seeing?

Soarin' i don't think you will get sick. This is such a great ride but sometimes its not worth the wait. If its a 2 hour wait don't do it unless it's something really special to you. Fastpasses are gone really quick, in about an hour and 1/2 after the park opens.

Journey into imagination with Figment Sorry I can't be a help on this one. I've only done this once or twice when is 5 or 6.

Universe of Energy

Maelstrom This ride is so cool. I'm pretty sure they have fastpasses for this but mostly the line is about 5 or 10 minutes. But don't take my word on the fast passes. And this ride can get crowded during the day.

Nemo and Friends is so cool.

Now when it comes to Turtle Talk with Crush , it was a long wait but it was an interactive(sp?) waiting room and they had real sting rays! I just wish I was five again and could sit in the front!

Illuminations is so exciting it is good from almost anywhere on the border of the water just make sure you aren't under spaceship earth!

Test Track You'll have fun on this but i recommend getting Fastpasses or going in the single rider line because TT can/will get really crowded.

Thank you Pinprincess and Melissa, all those tips for Epcot will really help.

I've begun making my list for the Magic Kingdom and I'm very excited at the now possibility of 3 days there instead of 2.

With the new deal that just got released we are contemplating make our trip 7 days instead of five. Doing a value resort it actually costs us more (I don't think hubby understood that cause when I showed him the cost for 7 days including meals, he said for all of us, like the commercial and then he said that includes our meals?) with the dining, but not a whole lot and that is two whole days more to play and not be rushed around since we know we are going to miss a lot with two young children and the June crowds. The decision will be made this weekend when we actually get to lock in our dates FINALLY My husband got on the phone with his Aunt last night and she said that they were just waiting on all of us to let them know when we were available, so he is calling his family Saturday to get an idea of when everyone will be available.

And some bad news got thrown on the table as well over the last two days. We may no longer be a Grand Gathering. My sister and her family might have to go to Mexico in June, so WDW would be out for them. I think they are making their decision in this week.
