First family type trip EVER for a week! June 7-14

I knew the day would come when it would not just be me and my husband, just me or even just me and a few friends going to the Disney Parks. I have been there with family before when they were at WDW for our wedding but that was only for a single day. This will be our first ever trip as a family and that in and of itself is going to be a change and challenge for me. My husband has been with his family before but not me. I have gotten so used to it being just 2 people and the flexibility that gives us. So this will be interesting.

Let me introduce you to the players:

Teresa (me)

I am a 31 year old huge Disney fan! I actually do a podcast about disney films! I love the parks and have had the pleasure of being there many many times. I did not go for the first time until I was 14 years old but now I can not even count how many times I have been.

Greg (husband)

He grew up going to the Disney Parks. He loves Disney park food and he knows the parks inside and out.

The two of us met each other, got engaged and got married at Walt Disney World. You can follow the links in my signature to see all about our Disney Romance.

Lori (My Mom)

Her first time at a Disney park was for my wedding in 2012. She only went to Magic Kingdom park. Her second trip was when she came to visit when we lived in Florida and we went to Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom and Epcot. This will be her third time and her first true true disney trip.

Nathan (my nephew)

15 year old nephew! His first trip to disney was for my wedding since then I think he has been back 1 other time. This will be his first trip staying on property and experiencing disney dining and fast passes and all of that fun.

We will be there from June 7th to the 14th. We get in super super late on the 7th and we are staying on our DVC membership. The next post will have all our current plans. We are staying at Old Key West for the first night then moving to our 2 bedroom villa at Bay lake Tower with a Lake view.

We are trying to give my mom and my nephew an awesome vacation and that is the current focus of the trip.

More to come later today. I hope you follow along and feel free to give me advice on how to handle a trip with 4 people who have very different ideas of a vacation and things they probably want to do. Especially since 2 of them are disney park noobs

Ok so here are our current plans and tonight at 11pm I get to make FP+ so I am excited about that but I am still trying to figure out when to make them for so any advice will help tremendously.

Tuesday June 7th
*check in to Old Key West late in the evening

Wednesday June 8th
*check out of OKW
*check in to Bay Lake Tower

Currently we are planning for this day to be a non park day. We may head off property to Publix grab some groceries for making meals and snacks, then go to the pool and/or disney springs

Thursday June 9th
*12:55pm Tony's Town Square ADR
*7:15pm Narcoossee's ADR

This day we were looking at being our Magic Kingdom day. We do have park hoppers but we wanted to devote a solid amount of time to MK park

Friday June 10th
*1:15pm Hollywood Brown Derby ADR

This day we were looking at being a DHS day. I have an event I am participating in here this day so we are kind of tied to the park. I am hoping SW fireworks are announced and we can get in those and fantasmic. The current hour schedules just can not be trusted

Saturday June 11th
*9:45am Chef Mickey's ADR
*10:10pm Beaches and Cream ADR (kitchen sink anyone?)

We are thinking Epcot and maybe park hopping this day

Sunday June 12th
*9:40am Kona Cafe ADR

For this day we are thinking it will be Animal Kingdom and possibly some hopping. Since it looks like ROL will not be up and running there definitely will be hopping going on here

Monday June 13th
*7:55pm Be Our Guest ADR

This day is up in the air obviously part of the day in the evening will be MK but not sure about the other parts of the day.

Tuesday June 14th
*8:35am Ohana
*Check Out of Bay Lake Tower
*Magical Express pick up at approx. 3:30pm

No parks this day

So here is my question for you guys what time frames should I make my fast passes for? I am not as concerned about the attractions because my nephew and my mom are both not adventurous when it comes to rides. It will be like pulling teeth to get them on splash mountain, space mountain or tower of terror and forget rock n roller coaster. We will most likely utilize single rider a lot. I am also not sure if we should use up our fast passes on shows like fantasmic, FoTLK or Nemo?

Any thoughts and help today before I can make my selections tonight would be most helpful.
