You know your kids. When we went in October '13, I kept going back and forth on this issue. My son just turned 5 and my daughter was 6. I knew my daughter would be OK, but my son can be lazy, he would ask to be carried walking through Target after 5 minutes.
Finally, I decided on the wait and see approach. We were going for 9 days. I would see how the first day or two went and if he whined, I would have had a stroller delivered to the hotel from one of the off-site providers.
He never complained once or asked to be carried. Now, I will say we did a leisurely pace. We hit rope drop every morning, would do the parks til 2-4 and then go back to the hotel for a dip in the pool, then dinner somewhere. Only a couple night time activities, because it wasn't worth it to overtire the kids and we knew we'd be back in a couple years. The only time my hubby carried him was after the Electrical Parade when the crowds were crazy and it was just easier.
For us, it worked to wait and see, and we didn't need one. But if he would have complained or whined, we probably would have gotten one.
