Fairly early, 8:00?

8:00am would be good for us...gives us time to get back to the room, collect our stuff, check out, and head to the ship!

How about 8:15-8:20? The more I think about it the less likely I will be able to sleep the night before anyway....

If its that early, I would have to think about it a tad more. I'd have to be up pre-dawn to start getting ready and load up the car. Then go to breakfast and wind up at the port way before I wanted to. Or what time is check out at the Dolphin?

I think check out is at 11:00? So you should be ok going back after breakfast and then leaving.

You also have to remember the drive to the port (without traffic) is about 45 minutes!!

I figure breakfast would take us about an hour-ish, right? If we're walking from the Dolphin...we would need to leave by 7:30am...so maybe we make breakfast 8:30 or 9:00am?

If we did 9:00am, give us an hour to an hour and a half to eat...that would be 10-10:30am by the time we're finished...and then head back to the Dolphin to check out and leave for the ship! That would still put us at the ship noon-1pm-ish...I think...right?

The problem is though - the later you get to the port the longer it takes to check in because of the line. Everyone gets there around 12 or 1 so the line will be realllly reallly long!!

I always like to be there early because of this. Besides you have time to get on the ship, scope it out, relax, and eat lunch before the crowds hit!!

I've done 5 cruises on another cruise line, so I've learned a few things!!!

I don't plan to rush to the port, but I want to board as soon as I can...to start my vacation! I probably won't have much in the way of carry-ons either...except our booze and a few things. Don't want to be bogged down carrying stuff around until we can go to our cabin! We'll probably be renting a car and driving ourselves as well...

So who's up for breakfast on Sunday morning?

I think that is what we want to do too- we want to be on a decent time and beat some of the crowds, but we don't want to rush and be first either. Plus I might have a hangover....

We would be up for breakfast- it is mother's day on Sunday, so i bet many restaurants will be crowded for breakfast- we had thought about just grabbing something fast at the Boardwalk bakery maybe? they always have yummy stuff! What else did you have in mind?

edit- Cape May sounds great- we haven't done that one before. i'll talk to the crew about it.
