I'm kinda liking the idea of Cape May!!! I went for dinner years ago and it was sooooo goooood!!!

The Cape may character b-fast is good! Minnie, goofy, chip and dale- very fun and great buffet!
We are meeting some friends that will be there, so will have to skip this one, but we'll still beat you to port- hee hee :dance3: :dance3:

You might just fill up the restaurants with just Disers! wouldnt that be a sight!:lmao:

Bunch of thieves! :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Alright Mindy...I did HoB brunch with you...you gonna do Cape May Cafe with us? :confused3

Let me think about it. I'm thinking....Jellyrolls the night before? Heavenly beds? I hate to make promises I can't keep.

We're also arriving a few days early (spending some time visiting KSC), so we will either be dropping off a rental car (and being shuttled back to port) OR leaving the car @ the port to use for our post-cruise stay @ Dolphin. We will take our time and have a good breakfast before getting to port.

This is my only thing I need to book/decided on. Renting a car for the entire stay (Friday 8th-Sunday 17th) or getting a rental before and then re-rent after the cruise. We're total newbies to renting a car. For ease, I just may get it for the week and keep MY stress level down. It's a vacation right? :rolleyes1

Oh.. and I'm 90% done with my FE, I'll post a pic later tonight. I happen to have some extra fabric and if someone is in need of one I can make one up for just the cost of materials/shipping. I have enough material to make maybe 3 or 4 FE's, I'm not trying to make money here, just doing something nice. If this is not allowed, mods please just edit my post.

If it helps, the best deal I have found for a pre-cruise rental is Dollar using the OOAG promo code...Economy $19/day (73.77), Compact $21/day (78.46) until the 10th, P/U at MCO, drop off at Cape Canaveral. For the week after go with the City Special, Compact 29.56/day (117.77) (Cape Can to Mco) for a total of 186.23 for Compact (W/O ins. etc).
Too bad the OOAG code doesnt work for the 14-on...

Character breakfasts that don't require park admission:

Chef Mickey's - Contemporary - Mickey and the gang
Ohana's - Poly - Lilo and Stitch, Mickey and Pluto
Cape May Cafe - Beach Club - Minnie, Goofy, Donald
1900 Park Fare - Grand Floridian - Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter

I think that Ohana's could be fun...i've never been there for breakfast...or Cape May Cafe...or whatever...:rotfl:

I'm up for anything!!

However, Jaime did 1900 Park Fare in December and said it was horrible!!!

I dont know, we found the 1900 Park Fare Char breaky fantastic...a little expensive...but fantastic.
Right there filling your OJ glass (constantly) and the characters were everywhere!
lots of food choices as well for a breaky.

Parking is $15/day at the port, but we parked there for our last cruise. I cost us a little bit more, but it was definitely great getting off the boat and having the car right there. We were at breakfast around 7:15 (we had early seating) and at 8:15 we had finished breakfast and were off the boat and in our car driving away. It was amazing. I think this time it is just going to cost too much more to rent a car the whole time, but I think it is worth a little bit more to keep it the whole time. Also, if you stay at the Radisson I believe they have a free shuttle and then you don't have to pay for parking at the port.

Dollar has a drop off at port?

We'll be at Jellyrolls and have heavenly beds too and we're going to be there!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wait - how early is breakfast again???

Shelly - we have no plans Saturday until the Poly meet, remember? We can sleep in on Saturday to make up for Friday and Sunday! It's genius, I tells ya! :lmao:

Yeah, if it goes like that, then I guess 8:15 will work for me. Should I add it to the Event Roster? I took the liberty of adding DATW on Friday to it, although no time has been established.

Where can I find the Event Roster?
(Or is this just your little event roster?)

I'm closer to Detroit City Airport than I am to Detroit Metro, but both with a reasonable distance. Did that little bit of snow ground your plane?
The Snow in Detroit didn't ground the plane but the snow storm in Albany did. :sad2: We had freezing rain and or Snow all week. :headache: I am sick of this weather. May cannot get here fast enough.

I'm just seriously lacking motivation lately. Our homestudy update appointment is Thursday. My house is almost ready...

While I love all of you dearly and would love to be there for MouseFest again, i'm really hoping that we get to go to China instead. I'm not counting on a regular referral for another year or two (or three) at this point, but if we are lucky enough to be matched to a waiting child, I would be thrilled to miss MouseFest! I'm sure you all would understand...
Brandie, I really hope you miss MF to go to China.

Does Dollar offer a shuttle to and from Port? We currently have a car through Budget but I think that's a little cheaper...:scratchin
