Anyone know of a economical place to get a laptop? DD has it set in her mind that she wants to get a laptop with her money.

Check out the Aspire One by Acer. It is under $400 and is great. Lots of colors to choose from too. I think you can get them online or at Wal-Mart.

My first drink...

I swiped swallows of Peach Schnapps from my parent's stash everytime I went down the stairs to the basement...

Mine was Absolut. Sometime in elementary school. It was on accident, it was hot and sunny and it looked like water. I still have an affinity for vodka on the rock to this day.

I found out my interview has been moved to Monday at 2:30. Wish me luck. At least I have a paper to write that will keep me busy this weekend.

It'll be hard but I will do my very best to keep my fingers crossed that long!!!

I remember the Hunt Club meetings in our basement back in the 70s.

12-15 guys drinking beer for 50c a bottle (for the hunt fund, of course), and a case (24) was about $6.

Dad would throw a plastic tarp over the pool table and the next morning it would be covered in empties.
50, Red Cap, Bradings, you name it.

Before Hunt they would go right to the brewery in Toronto and stock up.
Buy 4 get one free!!!!
Along with free glasses, cups, or whatever promotion was going on at the time.
They would buy 30 or 40 cases at that time for the 2 weeks of hunt.
Some brought their own..

Meeeeeemmooooorrrrriiiiieeeessss.......

Is Hunt Club like what Red Green hosts with the other...er....Canadians?

When I went down as a college program CM, I had Canadian money mixed in with my change jar (as is extremely common here). Even had a Loonie and a Two-nie from a bon voyage trip to the bars and casino across the border. My roommates, from the south and southwest, thought it was fake money. And once I told them what they were called....nobody believed it.

Apparently the boards shut down around 5am on Saturday morning or something went wacky. It posted the same thing like six times. So I had to go and find something to talk about. I sure as hack tried to get us to 100 before I went to bed. I feel I have failed my people...I suck at this monarch thing. Tyrannical militant emperor is more my way.
