You guys are impossible to keep up with. Kathy- love your mom's questions about the strangers giving you gifts on a fish extender. Does sound pretty strange I guess, when I think about it. but who doesn't love a free gift? really? :lmao:

We are renting a car through Hertz, driving it from MCO (noon/Friday) to the hotel for our 2 night stay. We will drive it down to port and return it there on Sunday. There are four of us, so we got the impala sized class. it's about $139 for the three days. I booked it a while back. Now I realized Hertz is off site at MCO, which I hate......so I might cancel and shop around more. I usually use National, but there didn't seem to be one close to port for the return. We will use the one way transfer back to MCO on Thursday.

so speaking of fish extenders- what kind of gifts are you guys doing? I have some ideas, but being a newbie to cruising, much less DCL, i need some help with ideas on what you have done in the past? :wizard: :yay:

Digging the tiara Todd! ;)

Hey...I live right off of I-69! Well...in Indianapolis...:)

Yea, I-69 to Schaumburg? that might take a while....

Okay, okay....696, to 94, to 80, then follow the Chicago signs. We are leaving Saturday morning and staying overnight. Nice weekend away. With lots of driving.

Actually that was Kevin's take on the conversation that I will have to have with my Mom regarding FE. She is still trying to get her arms around the idea that we're going on a cruise with 300 people, most of whom I have never met before. I keep re-enforcing the idea it's a vacation and Palo Brunch is included in the deal. Baby steps, baby steps.....

Forgot to add, Kevin is right. That is exactly how the conversation is going to go.

Oh, no you did not! I thought it but wasn't going to say it! :cutie:

Okay, y'all, I started my first day of training for the Princess 1/2 Marathon in WDW in March. I did two miles, and I'm really dragging. Only got to walk 13.1 total. I figure that's pretty much a day at Epcot anyway, so no problemo! :rotfl: Whose idea was this anyway? :scared1:

Everyone have a happy posting day. I'm off to actually work.
wow, good job. I did my first half marathon here in Dallas------just walking and I nearly died last year. We ran about 3 miles or so of it and were walking FAST. My sister and the other girls I were with usually run full marathons, so they were speed walking the entire time. I about died and I am in pretty decent shape for a 35yo. I hated it- i will never do it again, just isn't my thing- I would rather play soccer or football or something. :rotfl: BUT......doing it in Disney might sweeten the deal, huh?:wizard:

So cheers to you- anyone who does the half or full definitely has my respect, whether you are walking or running! My sister has done 4 marathons now and I am in awe every time.
good luck on your training!!!!

considering that my mom likes to become best friends with the people ahead of her in line at the grocery store- she has no qualms about giving gifts to strangers on a boat that you briefly chatted with online. :rotfl2:

I picked up some great pirate rubber duckies, pirate tattoos and those sticky hands. DD, who is 14, keeps trying to steal them.

I was in the Army and we had to run everyday. I hated it! Fast forward a decade (and then some ;) )and... I want to do the Expedition Everest 5k challenge.

Yeah, I'd never try a marathon. But 5K sounds fun, especially because they have a scavenger hunt in AK after the run. :thumbsup2

Okay I'm off to the grocery store. Don't close this thread without me!
