Talk about your bad days....

My DD has been calling me on her way to class this morning. There was a major accident right in front of her, due to the icy roads. She went to try to turn around, and got stuck in a ditch when she slid off the road. Finally, the emergency workers who weren't working on the major accident came over and helped her out of a ditch. She calls me to tell me that she's back on the road going to class...and someone just crashed into her. It sounded like she backed into her...I'll be back later.

Sorry Mindy! I hope she is OK!:grouphug:

DD's fine...not sure about the girls in the first accident. She says she heard them screaming as they tried to get them out of the car.

The second accident was nothing more than a fender-bender...she was just an emotional wreck from the first one. I'll be spending the afternoon getting appraisals and filling out forms...nothing more traumatic than that. Oh, and dealing with the drama princess....

Pfffew she is not hurt....
I can imagine that it's a scary adventure.....

Thank you everyone. I knew you could help!

I just got $59 airfare on SW. Go check it out!!!!!! :cool1:

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

WOW thats a great price. Good job!:thumbsup2 I wish I could get deals like that.

I'm a big wine drinker and right now I'm stuck on Oregon Pinot Noir. I stick with Reds for the most part, but enjoy an occasional Chardonnay.

Tracy, I thought you were a semi-sweet girl? Do you drink the dry stuff also?

White wine gives me indigestion. Does it do that to anyone else?
I love the red stuff, cabernets, pinot noir, syrah/shiraz.

Tracy- is there a deadline for booking rooms at the Dolphin before the cruise?

Only when we run out of rooms. At least that's what I've been told.

They're not really wine drinkers per se but my Grandfather loves a good glass once in a while.

A good all around wine for anyone is Marques de Caceres Satinella Medium-Sweet Blanco Rioja. It's very inexpensive, but a very good wine. I recommend it a lot for Thanksgiving meals.

I have found that a muscat or riesling just so it's not dry is liked by many.

i probably gonna take some wine aboard with me for all of us to enjoy.
Tracy and everybody else what kind of wine do you prefer??
Red or White and then Dry or Sweet???

I like anything but dry white.

love dry red! But mostly sweeter stuff.

Haven't tried to many White Merlots....sounds tasty. Where did Tracy the wine expert go :thumbsup2

White Merlot is a white wine that is made from the Merlot Grape. It is often considered to be very similar to White Zinfandel because they are both created using the same fermentation process. White Merlot gets it diluted colour by reducing the amount of time that the grape juice is in contact with the red skins of the Merlot grapes. For White Merlot this is usually hours, as opposed to deep red wines which are typically in contact with the grape skins for weeks.
White Merlot originated in the Languedoc region of France. This region does not grow Zinfandel grapes but wanted to capitalize on the wide spread popularity of White Zinfandel wines. Also, white wines are generally more popular during the summer months because they are often served chilled and can be drunk with a wide variety of foods. (They also tend to be a lot less expensive than red wines.) Thus, the White Merlot was born.

There are a variety of White Merlot wines available. Such as, Fortant's White Merlot which is a slightly sweet white wine that sells for around six dollars a bottle. You might also look for the Beringer's White Merlot, a sweet white wine which is very similar to White Zinfandel and only costs around five dollars a bottle.

White Merlot wines from France became a near-instant hit with consumers and it didn't take long before several Napa Valley wineries also began producing White Merlot wines. White Napa Merlot wines are usually very sweet and best served chilled, making it a great summertime wine. You can expect to pay around ten dollars a bottle for most White Napa Merlot wines.

White Merlot wines are continuing to increase in popularity and, with the availability of both sweet White Merlot wines and dry White Merlot wines

I can never find it in a restaurant. That's why I need a "beer run".:drive:

Here's your answer! It's yummy!

For me the best wine ever is:
Sparkling Shiraz.....

Only when we run out of rooms. At least that's what I've been told.

Does that include amending our reservations too? Say adding on a night to an existing stay?

That's a mouthful!

I do like Red Zin however, nothing like white zin. Sounds like Tracy and I will be sharing wines. Tracy, have you ever had Phelps? I had it on the boat last time because for some reason the price on the boat was great for that wine. If anyone wants a great bottle of wine try Phelps!
