Our very first trip was in September, and it was soooo humid. We were also there for Floyd (I think that was the hurricane). We've not been back in October. DH LOVES December. He didn't enjoy October, because October is a pretty nice month to be in Iowa. I'm hoping he'll enjoy May. It will be like a first taste of summer.

So Dh sent me a link this morning. He seems to think that we'll need them for the cruise with this group...

They are privacy bar glasses from Stupidiotic. Think we'll need them? :rolleyes1

Funny!!!!

Morning all!

Good Morning!!! The weather has gone a little off kilter. Its supposed to get to 60°. A new record for us. Problem is that its melting all the snow quite quickly and the ground is still frozen and can't absorb all the water, so there are large pools of standing water everywhere. Good thing we don't get gators up in there parts!

Yes, the threat of flooding this week has me grateful I am in no shape to be at work! They'll be busy for sure!

Just stopping in to say hi!

Am finally feeling ok -- I think I've been sick with every virus going for about 2 months now. Was sick for Toy Story Mania (had no voice with that cold) and have had various other things since. Am now finally feeling ok and hopefully it will last.

Have tried to keep up a bit with what's been going on though. We haven't finalized our plans for after the cruise. We are waiting to see if AP rates come out and then decide what we are doing. Is anyone else waiting for AP rates?

Will try to keep up now.

Can't wait to cruise.

Fiona

Glad you are feeling better!

So, it's supposed to be 65 degrees here today. I went to school this morning and kids are wearing jeans and sweatshirts. What's up with that? My girls wore tanks with sweaters over them. And, DD8 had best be still wearing a WHITE sweater when she comes home. What kind of a parent sends their child to school in a WHITE sweater? One that thinks her DD looks pretty darn cute today :)

Never before Memorial Day! Fashion police, fashion police!!

I don't know why, but that's one of the strongest memories of my childhood; my mom explaining to me never to wear white before summer.

So, I'm feeling just a tad sick to my stomach right now. I just paid off my balance on my cruise, which is a :cheer2: BUT, I have to tell you, I'm just a little terrified of fun on a boat. I'm just hoping it's not  on a boat or even :scared: on a boat. Paying that balance makes it VERY final. No turning back.

The weather is totally wacky across the middle of the country. A couple of weeks ago we had a foot of snow. Today it's supposed to be 65 degrees. Tonight and tomorrow we're going to have strong winds (50 mph gusts!) and thunderstorms, some of them predicted to be severe.

What's up with THAT? It's February for goodness sake.

I'm not sure what I was thinking. The thing is so new it's not been hung up in her closet yet. But as she is taking her Iowa Tests of Basic Skills, her teacher will just be sitting there looking at my child thinking, "Man, she's cute."

Yeah, and I want to go sledding this weekend. Luckily the place makes its own snow. However, it still has to be cold enough to keep it frozen.

I thought that was just shoes and pants?

I just submitted our final payment for the cruise!!

And no worries Nicole...you will be having so much Fun on a Boat that you won't even notice anything else!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

She doesn't need a new sweater for that, its genetic. She's got a cute mom!!:thumbsup2

Now Nicole. Let's not have any of this sick talk. None of us are getting sick. We have pixiedust:

I have been visiting WDW regularly since 1988. And over the course of those 21 years I have had a chance to vacation during each of the 12 months. Each Disney season offers advantages and disadvantages over the other. September has lower crowds but is during the heart of hurricane season. Summer is hot but the water parks are great to cool off at. Spring is flower and garden but April is very crowded. January has lower crowds but the temperature is a crap shoot. It could be 80 or it could be 20. December is wonderful with all the holiday decor and Mousefest has all of us crazy Disney fans. (Both are good thing) When I first started going to WDW I only wanted to travel between May and Sept because I wanted to be guaranteed hot weather as I love the pools and water parks. But over the years I have come to love other reasons to visit during other times. Mousefest and Holidays during December. Festival of the Masters in November. And Food & Wine in October are some of my new favorites. OKay, I'm done rambling about how much I like Disney no matter when I get to go.

I'm certainly hoping so. I don't think about it much. But now that it's paid in full, it makes me think of it. I seriously don't know if I'd ever get on a ship if it weren't for this fun cruise. DH is thankful for it, because he's always wanted to do a cruise. I'll try not to think about it again :)

You're too kind. Do I need to make my picture bigger, so you can get a closer look???? And, you're right, she doesn't need the sweater to be cute, she needs it to stay warm. It's the shirt that is underneath that is so stinkin cute :)

Glad you got it.

I'm sure I'll be fine too. I'm usually not a big 'ol chicken, just around water.

Maybe I'll have to start on the alcohol BEFORE I board.

Are you suggesting an impromptu cocktail party in the terminal?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

Dr. Ruth was just on the Today Show. She was telling some of her Top 10 Secrets. She says we should buy ice-cream cones and practice. There is just something wrong with getting advice from someone who's got to be pushing 90.
