Just stopping in to say hi!

Am finally feeling ok -- I think I've been sick with every virus going for about 2 months now. Was sick for Toy Story Mania (had no voice with that cold) and have had various other things since. Am now finally feeling ok and hopefully it will last.

Have tried to keep up a bit with what's been going on though. We haven't finalized our plans for after the cruise. We are waiting to see if AP rates come out and then decide what we are doing. Is anyone else waiting for AP rates?

Will try to keep up now.

Can't wait to cruise.

In the "real good news" category, I got two "Yippies!" in the mail yesterday. First I got my credit union check to pay off my cruise!! Now just to apply the payment.
Second, I got $50 in gift cards to Meijer. I apparently entered a contest and I was third runner up. I won first place in a contest with them in November and won a set of eight Dr. Seuss hardcover books. Hmmm.....wonder why I have all this luck with Meijer?

Thats great! I win stuff every now and again.

So Dh sent me a link this morning. He seems to think that we'll need them for the cruise with this group...

They are privacy bar glasses from Stupidiotic. Think we'll need them?

I think it will clash with the tiara......

Apparently DH is under the impression that we will need the privacy glasses as we will be so out of control that we'll need to disguise ourselves in pictures. His exact quote "but at the end of the day, keeps us all from losing our jobs"

It's raining here today. I hate rain. I have been watching Pete's FB page and I feel so bad for them. I have been so lucky when it comes to rain when we have gone to WDW and DL. (Is there a knock on wood smiley?)

I am waiting to get a PIN code that includes May. I can't seem to get anything that includes May.

Yes they are due February 23. Keep in mind that if you want to send payment in the form of a check that it does take time to process this. I would make sure that it is mailed no later than Friday this week to make sure it is processed on time. If you intend to mail a check, PLEASE CONTACT ME FIRST to make sure it is made out properly and to give you the mailing address and instructions.

My last trip to WDW was in September and it did rain. We were lucky though we were inside every time it rained. It wasn't like in Cali where it is a constant rain. It would rain for 30 minutes real hard and stop.

I love WDW in the rain. Its fun to get soaked to the bone and splash in puddles. And in the summer, it makes it feel so much cooler (until you try to breathe the thick as Jell-o air).

I have never been in the summer. I don't think I can handle it. We went in September and I thought I was going to die. I think I am incapable of handling hot, humid weather.

Actually now that I think of it, we got poured on at Castaway Cay. It was like the sky opened up and it rained buckets for 15 minutes. We huddled under one of this umbrellas. I don't mind rain when I am already wearing my bathing suit.

The summer is tough. We hit the parks in the morning, spend the afternoons at our DVC resort, and then hit the parks in the evening. The mornings and evenings are still hot. Taking the parks a little at a time is the best way to avoid heat exhaustion and fatigue. But the puddles do help cool off.

It wasn't that hot this year when we went. We went to the water parks and it was almost too cold to be in the water. The only day I remember being hot was the first Saturday of Food & Wine. I bought one of the water bottles with a fan so we could keep cool.We were lucky it wasn't very hot.

We always go in September. Sometimes we've been in May. May used to be slower than it is now. I'm interested to see what the crowds will be like when we're down there pre and post cruise, since this is the timeframe when we used to visit (before we noticed the crowds getting worse).

We are definitely fans of lower crowd times and are able to do that since we have no kiddos.

I don't mind heat or rain either. With DVC, we aren't going nonstop like we used to. It's okay to take it slow, take a break back at the resort, duck into a store somewhere, etc.

My son starts school next year so I know we are going to have to change when we go to the parks. I would love to go to Food and Wine this year, but decided on MouseFest. It might be my last chance. I wish the school he was going to had a Spring Break.

When we were there in September I almost found the evenings to be worse. It was so humid I just couldn't stand it. This could be the asthma talking. I think I might be more sensitive to humidity.
