Brandie & Dodie.... did you know you have the same birthday? :)

So does Kathy and Anne S., and Lauren and Shelly share a birthday too.

Kathy and I figured that out the other day.

Congrat to you Dodie!

Alicia - We are in exactly the same thinking. Even the clothing. Kim wants to dress me up and I'm complaining about dressing up on vacation. I'll probably give in though and dress up a nite or two. :)

Editing to add: I thought you might be interested that DVC just announced a Doorway to Dreams in Long Island, NY since you live somewhat close by.

     Woot!!! This is AWESOME news! Now, I have to find out when they open? :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

It's 3 hours from me. I can do that, no problem!

Jaime and I are going to try and book Palo early the second night because it's the 'dress up' night. However, we also don't want to miss the shows or the regular dining rotation because this will be our first Disney cruises. So, if there is a show that we want to see the night we have Palo booked, i.e. Toy Story the Musical, then we will cancel Palo because we are doing the brunch thanks to the podcast crew. If we don't get to do Palo, we're ok with it because of the brunch. So we may or may not be doing Palo.

Did that make sense?

I booked both Palo dinner and brunch. As for the shows, you don't have to make Palo a three hour event and you can definitely go to the shows too. We did a 6:00 pm dinner and went to the show at 8:15 after. For most of the shows, if you scheduled Palo at 7:45 or later, you can go to the early show.

Tracy question!

Tracy, another cruise and I would like to have Palo dinner together. How do we link our Palo times so we can have a table for 4? Can I book it at the 90 day window for us if they are not castaway club members?

The best way to do this is to have me link your reservations (by way of an email to me - NOT a post or PM) before you make your Palo reservations. You do need to both be paid in full and you can make the reservation at 90 days. The other way is for them to get their own reservation and try to get them linked together once onboard. This is more difficult. Switching from a two to a four onboard can also be difficult.

Help, I mentioned staying after the cruise to my DH and he said he wanted to go to Universal. I don't really know that much about Universal and I don't know what to do. How far is it from the Dolphin to Universal? What about Saratoga Springs to Universal? We have stayed at the Hard Rock before we had kids and loved it, but I was not planning on spending that much.

Does the $111 at the Dolphin include the resort fee? I hate spending $10/day to park at the hotel and $12 to park at Universal.

I think I am going to try Mission Space orange side this time. Anyone want to join me. I did it before they split the ride, I wasn't sure how I felt about it, and I have only done the green side since. I am going to try the spinning side again and see how I fee. I just won't do it during the DATW. That would be bad. Maybe on the 8th.

I'm game, if I am there in time. Mission: Space was being built while I was a CP and haven't ridden it at all. (There are a lot of things that will be new for me...including the removal of my old deployment station:sad1: )

I went a few times while I lived by downtown Disney. I don't recall it being too much hassle to get there. I took local roads and didn't go via the freeway, as I knew my way around. So that might have helped with the traffic.:confused3 One good thing about the structures for Universal is the moving sidewalk...my footsies are always glad to just stand and ride that out.
