We're making a ressie for Palo cuz DH wants to eat there. I don't care one way or the other, but since this trip is mostly about me...I can play nice and let him have his way every now and then...:rolleyes1

We are not making Palo dinner reservations. We have cruised before. It's wonderful, but since the team is treating us to Palo brunch anyway, and we really don't have to do dinner at Palo to have a good time, we're not going to make dinner reservations. (We enjoyed the brunch more than the dinner anyway.)

That said, if you're a first-time cruiser, you want a meal away from the kiddos, and you don't mind missing one night in the regular rotation, Palo is a wonderful venue. Just don't think it's a MUST DO or your cruise will be a disaster.

For me its dinner without kids, they could feed me from a trough and I'd go :lmao:

Dodie, I feel the same way. I like Palo Brunch better then Dinner. Since we're having a special brunch thanks to the Podcast Team, I'm not making any reservations. I really just want to enjoy the time together with all of you. This is really a low key vacation for me.

Tracy question!

Tracy, another cruise and I would like to have Palo dinner together. How do we link our Palo times so we can have a table for 4? Can I book it at the 90 day window for us if they are not castaway club members?

We are skipping Palo because as first time cruisers, we want to take it slow. Enjoy what's already offered without trying to cram too much in.

Besides, Paul isn't getting dressed up on vacation. He almost had a fit when I told him I bought some new polo shirts for the cruise. :rolleyes1

So I'll be wearing a ball gown and Paul will be wearing a tank top. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

j/k ;)

Alicia - We are in exactly the same thinking. Even the clothing. Kim wants to dress me up and I'm complaining about dressing up on vacation. I'll probably give in though and dress up a nite or two. :)

Editing to add: I thought you might be interested that DVC just announced a Doorway to Dreams in Long Island, NY since you live somewhat close by.

That was my thought line as well. Plus I don't think dinner for 1 would be quite the same there.

Am I the only one that is not making a ressie for Palo?

We aren't either

The definition of me being sick is not having my crack err..blackberry
He just set up my new curve last night...:goodvibes

You won't be the only odd couple. DH hates having to figure out clothes so I get a little more control there ;)
My new dress is quite a ball gown, but it is cute. (I hope - it will be here by the end of the month!)

I thought about Palo but DD is hoping to spend most of her time in the Kid's club and she tends to behave when we eat out (perhaps a sign we eat out WAY too much?!)
I told DH we could save that for the next cruise - he didn't even flinch! "Sure"

Nice way to sneak the next one in......:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

This time we are not going to make Palo reservations...
(did you noticed the beginning of the sentence?!?!?)

We have done a brunch last may in Palo and this time the Podcast Team is setting up a Palo brunch for us, so we get our Palo fix anyway...

And if we don't........
Ahhhh well we have in 2010 14 more days and nights to enjoy Palo as well:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Brandie & Dodie.... did you know you have the same birthday? :)

So does Kathy and Anne S., and Lauren and Shelly share a birthday too.

My DH hates getting dressed up too. It tells you how much he like his steak he had a Palo that he asked if we were going again.

I wonder how far out on LI. I would love to go to a Doorway to Dreams.

Thanks...I spent Saturday in bed. DH had to go out and about so his first instinct - bring me my BlackBerry in case I needed him to pick something up.
:rotfl:
Only a techie would think that a BlackBerry is essential to someone sick in bed!

Thats great.:rotfl2:

I'm not making a Palo ressie either.
