I like the looks of the plans you are coming up with. I will check back so I can talk to the fam about it over dinner. Or after I lend out DH to do some heavy lifting for one of our friends.

Darn I get such a late start when I don't have time for breakfast before DD goes to school...and now all the Disney food talk...

How about Tusker House for breakfast and then maybe Flame Tree BBQ for lunch? Assuming everything goes according to plan, DH and I will have to leave the group for our safari and dinner at Jiko right around 3pm to head back to AKL. Not sure what we'll do afterwards...we'll need to pack and head to bed early since we'll be leaving at the crack of dawn to head home on Sunday.

So here are my dining thoughts (not set in stone by any means...will happily change if the group wants something else!):

5/14/09 - Magic Kingdom (12:30-close)
Lunch - Columbia Harbour House
Dinner - ??
5/15/09 - Hollywood Studios (Rope drop-late AM)
Breakfast - (DH and I may just do Boma for breakfast before heading to the park)
Lunch - ?
5/15/09 - Epcot (Early afternoon-PM EMH)
Lunch - ?
Dinner - ?
DATW!!! (and DH and I won't have to find you guys...we'll be able to be with you all evening!
5/16/09 - Animal Kingdom (Rope Drop - Early afternoon)
Breakfast - Tusker House
Lunch - Flame Tree

Currently Todd, Tonya, Kim, Shelly and I are having dinner at Chefs De France on Friday. If anyone else wants to eat with us let me know so I can change the ADR.
I was liking the idea of Crystal Palace for Dinner on Thursday.

So you are going the rent route now? Let me know how that works out for you, please. I am sure the DVC Member you are renting from will be a sweetheart....but I want to know about how the DVC treats you.

They treat you just like a member, they don't know if your a full member or not. You even get a KTTW Card that says DVC on it.

I'll be alone on both ends. $99/night is around what I usually pay for a hotel room when we travel (I know, I am a bad traveler--I pay through the nose, but I need pet friendly). So $99/night at a Disney partner hotel is a-okay by me. If I were to spend Thursday & Friday at say AKL, it would cost 42 points for a Studio, and at a bargain basement price of $9/point, that is still $378 as opposed to the $198+tax for the DolFUN....So yeah. For just me....not this time. Maybe I can get a hook up for Mousefest or something...maybe a few of us go in on a larger place?????? Just sayin'

I can't remember the last time I payed under 150 a night anywhere, but I travel with 2 adults and 3 kids so we always have a suite of some sort.
