I'm sorry you had a bum day.....as for the French comment, my ancestors and I will politely ignore it.

I was wondering where you were yesterday. Sometimes I miss work, sometimes I don't.;)

So you are going the rent route now? Let me know how that works out for you, please. I am sure the DVC Member you are renting from will be a sweetheart....but I want to know about how the DVC treats you.

Thanks. When I rented our points out to Chris aka StollerBoy, he said all went great being a non-DVC member. I was quite relieved.

BTW - I've already claimed the DVC referral from Brandie.;)

I've been looking at renting points for my 2-nights post cruise but I've always been leary about doing that. I'll have to think about it some more before I decide what I want to do!

I think renting points would be a smart way to go, but I can't look the rate at the DolFun in the mouth....

We're talking advantage of the DolFun rate for 2 nights pre-cruise, but since I'm going to be by myself for 2 nights post cruise I was looking for something a little cheaper - if I can get away with it.

I'll be alone on both ends. $99/night is around what I usually pay for a hotel room when we travel (I know, I am a bad traveler--I pay through the nose, but I need pet friendly). So $99/night at a Disney partner hotel is a-okay by me. If I were to spend Thursday & Friday at say AKL, it would cost 42 points for a Studio, and at a bargain basement price of $9/point, that is still $378 as opposed to the $198+tax for the DolFUN....So yeah. For just me....not this time. Maybe I can get a hook up for Mousefest or something...maybe a few of us go in on a larger place?????? Just sayin'

Mousefest sounds like a good idea - I would certainly be in for doing that!!

As for post-cruise, I'm still thining about it. And the more I think about it, the DolFun is certainly the way to go unless I can get a good AP rate!!

We'll see.

Time will tell......so looking at some information (Thanks Anna)....it may be :crowded: :crowded: on Thursday for Cruising he Kingdom...

This is exactly why I changed my 29 pt pre Saturday res at VWL to Dolphin.

Yep...DH and I will be renting points...i'm just waiting on Teresa to tell me all is well and everything is booked before we do the official transaction.

This may be what it takes to push DH over the edge to buy into DVC sometime soon! :cool1:

Why? Because of EMH that morning?

We won't be getting there until noon-ish anyway, right? Do you think it will still be busy?

IDK. I am new to the UG stuff. I would imagine that with a morning EMH, the afternoon would start to thin earlier than normal. I was figuring somewhere between 12 and 1.:confused3

The park is open until 9 that night - so if we do get there between 12 and 1, then we will have a good 8-9 hours to play!!

If it ends up being too crowded once we get there, then we can move to another park or something if that's what the group would like to do...just a thought. :)

Any thoughts on lunch or dinner that day? Should we make a group ADR for those of us interested?

Hadn't you said something about Crystal Palace?

Even though I'm not part of the group (yet). I say Columbia Harbor House.
