I looked them up and saw they are filled donuts. That is probably the reason I have never heard of it. Filled donuts don't do anything for me. Pittsburgh has a very large Polish community too, but I still can't seem to pronounce any of the names right.

But it is sooo much more than just a filled donut. It is like a donut on steroids. Pumped to the max. And made with lard and butter and sugar. Yum, off to make dinner now!!!!

I thought about having him necropsied but you can't get them back after that and since there's nothing that can be done at this point anyway, I'm just gonna bury him beside the chicken house. I came home today and there was Paczki Donuts in the local grocery store ad. I guess I have missed them every other year of my life.

Shredded beef and onion gravy over cheesy potatoes. Grilled zukes and summer squash. Butternut squash (color in the plate).

Actually I've learned from personal experience, the more donuts you eat -the easier it is to see your waist... don't even have to crane my neck, just lower the eyes a little!

Thanks for the kind words. He's buried now. Just finished. It was a whole lot easier than usual. It was rainy today so the ground was nice and soft and there weren't many roots to cut through either. (Remember the snow pics of the chicken house? Those there trees are HUMONGOUS.) I hate losing birds. Especially when I don't know why and when they're young ones. Little Man was only about 3 years old. I still have his brother at least. I'm down to 7 now.

OK, you guys are KILLING me with the donuts talk. They're my favorite sweet treat. DH gets me 2 dozen (HOT) Krispy Kreme donuts every year for my birthday. I can eat 4 of them before we even get out of the parking lot!
