Ack...so DH tells me that i'm in charge of the trip and to do what I think is best. But he's not thrilled with the idea of a hotel change. So I try to hit the Disney website this morning to see how much a room is at AKL and the dang website isn't working! just my luck...

I know that Disney will move your luggage to another Disney resort...at least I think they'll move it to another Disney resort...but they won't do that for guests at the Dolphin, right?

Okay, I am trying to catch up and I haven't gotten far enough to see if anyone has answered your question.

Disney will transfer your luggage between resorts. Luggage transfers take place between 1pm and 3pm. There is no charge. Unfortunately, this does not include the Dolphin as it is not a Disney resort.

So DVC-ers...I have a question. Do people ever rent points for just one night? In my dilemma here over using my prize, i've discovered that we would have to extend our stay by one night. If we do that...DH isn't to thrilled with the idea of moving hotels after just one night. So...I was nosing about and checked rates for one night at AKL and that's waaaaaaaaay out of our price range. I'm ok with the Dolphin, but again, DH doesn't want to change hotels.

On the drive to work this morning, I wondered about renting points. I looked at the DVC Calculator thing and saw that it would be 9 points for the night i'm looking for at AKL...assuming that would be available anyway.

So would I be able to rent points for one night from someone (over on the DVC boards) or does that just not happen?

I'm not sure about renting points for one night but I just wanted to let you know that even though you wouldn't be switching resorts, you would need to change rooms as the AKL Villa rooms are different than the regular AKL rooms. I wish that I had some extra points to rent to you Brandie, but I've made all my ressie's for this year and used them up.
