I remember awhile back the original confirmation email I received said The Swan but I didn't really think much of it. (I still have that email.)

I just got an email from Tracy stating that my reservation has been changed to the Swan. Anyone else receive this change? Isn't the Swan, like, better than the Dolphin?

Thanks, Tracy, for the headsup! BTW, I called in and paid the balance on the room earlier today after receiving the confirmation email regarding the change in nights.


Edit: I just realized, Tracy, that I've been at the Swan the whole time (no change)!

Since you brought it up here I'll explain here. Anyone who would be staying on the 5th needed to be set up at the Swan. There was only a few at the time, but we did not have availability on the 5th at the Dolphin. Now that you changed your nights, I have asked if we can get you over at the Dolphin but have not received a response yet.

Nothing changed, this is the way it was from the beginning.

I'll have my own car but we will definately work something out. I imagine a lot of us will be forming convoys. Whatever happens we'll have you covered Dara.

I'm applying for mine next week. The county clerk where I was born is open late on Wednesdays so I will go after work to get my certified copy of my birth certificate and Thursday to the Post Office.

I should still have it in enough time, right?

Mine took exactly one week! My grandmother went with me and hers took longer. She is from Puerto Rico and the passport people did not except the birth certificate she had ordered. They said it was a birth record. They gave her some options of what she could send. Mind you she is 82. Here were the options I can remember. 1 Have some one who was there at your birth send a notarized statement saying you are who you say you are, 2 send a report card from school, 3 send church records of your baptism.
My grandmother found her 3rd grade report card! She also found her passport from 1944 and a copy of her marriage license. She received her passport 1 week after she mailed all that stuff off. They did mail it all back in one envelope.

I missed you guys today. I've had just a horrible day.

I took the day off to spend the day at neurological testing with both of my elderly parents - testing for dementia/Alzheimer's/other problems. Sometimes I really wish I weren't an only child. (I think I've mentioned a couple of times that my parents were having some health problems.)

I'm hoping, if nothing else, I'll get some medical back-up for my opinion that it's time for them to think about assisted living, an idea they are both vehemently against.

Sorry to whine. On with the cruise talk! I can't begin to tell you how much my husband and I need this vacation.
