First Ever DISUnplugged Podcast Cruise, 11th and Final Thread

I'm there, I'm drinking...how about by the pool? I'll have to bring DH, but I'll load him up on SoCo, so he'll pass out on a lounger and we can talk....:hyper2:

Hi Tracy!

Can you put the tips on your key to the world card or do you have to use cash?

 We ain't married!! What ARE you implying?!? :rotfl:

Soon, J/Kim. Castaway Cay's beach isn't that far off. I wonder if the crew would mind if the PodCastaway Party doubled as a wedding reception?

4

The number of time my Mom has called me so far this morning to coordinate what to bring and other Podcast Cruise questions. What the final count will be:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Four times by 9:15am?!?! I can only imagine what its going to be on Wednesday...

Got my flatties all cut out last night, I just need to attach their heads and they will be done.

My flattie finished his/her packing over the weekend. He/she opted out of a pirate costume. He/she stated that he/she would feel 'uncomfortable' looking like that in public.

In one week at this hour we will be making bloody marys out of the trunk of the car in the parking lot at the port (virgins will be available):scared1:

So now we are sacrificing people too?

The Canadiens are getting wound up.

Wait a minute.

We all are! :goodvibes

Oh, yeah George!!

I had decided I was going to run for as long as I could out of the 60 mins.
on the treadmill. Well I was at a speed of 5.9 and 29 mins. into the run.
Things were getting difficult so I said I will close my eyes and not look at the time. well within seconds I had gone right off the back of the treadmill.
However I did land on my feet. I then hopped right back on and continued for another 2 mins. The guy beside me looked at me and said, I have never seen anyone do that and land on their feet, and then hop right back on without breaking stride. I laughed so hard I had to stop running. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh my goodness! I am glad you are all right. I slipped last week on a stationary treadmill and felt like a nincompoop. I'm glad it was the laughter that made you stop.

I broke down and bought Twilight to take with me.
Anyone read this? :lmao:

:rotfl::rotfl: I just finished Eclipse last night and started Breaking Dawn. It's the thickest one. I don't know if I will be able to finish it before we sail.

DH just took out the garbage and said "last time I have to take the garbage out before vacation".:banana::banana:

I just have to say that this is the last Monday before vacation!!!

But she will have me to keep her company!! You and I can greco roman wrestle in the terminal to help pass the time!

Um, Don. Ummmm. Ummm.

Printed my magnets yesterday and washed the grey away.

Still lots to do. I feel like the white rabbit from Alice. I'm late, I'm late!

Oh, and my in-laws are coming a day early! :scared:

I packed for good over the weekend. Its a good thing everything has wheels or shoulder straps. I think I have 8 pairs of shoes. But one of them won't be coming home.:sad1:

I also realized that the point of the cooler was to bring alcohol on board the ship, however as it sits now it is full. :scared1::scared1::headache: Must rearrange or figure something out. Maybe a duffel bag to lighten the load?

I'm rather excited, but need to try to keep an even keel. Lots to do at work to make up for the week I won't be here.

Oh yeah. Four more sleeps until vacation!!!!!
6 Days Until "Fun on a Boat!" and Buffoonery on Buses!!!
5 Days Until 6 DIS'ers get MUDDY for Give Kids the World!!!

Hi Tracy!

Can you put the tips on your key to the world card or do you have to use cash?

You can. You will get a form to charge them, probably on Tuesday. Otherwise, you can prepay them with us before Thursday or pay cash. Three different choices.

Which reminds me... Any changes to your reservations must be done by Thursday. After this date, changes will need to be made on the ship, if possible.

Ask Tracy (or anyone else who wants to help)

So we had a bit of a temper tantrum here last night - the adult, male kind. DH does not like to dress up. Neither do I, but capris are a great alternative for women. He doesn't have that luxury. So, I was wondering what he can get away with at dinner? Can he wear dressy shorts with sandals (the Jesus sandal look)? He will have a couple polos with him, but mostly new Nautica type tees. He also has a pair of plaid shorts.

Can dress shorts be worn to Palo brunch?

Thanks for the help. While I'd love him to wear nice pants every night, I want him to be happy.

While you will see some shorts in the dining rooms, they are not favorably looked on. He cannot wear shorts to Palo brunch as they are restricted from there. A nice pair of jeans is ok, khakis, etc.

Katherine - a few years ago I got my earphone cord caught up in a treadmill and fell off the back too. I wasn't lucky enough (or maybe not coordinated?) to be able to stand up. I fell right on my butt in front of everyone at Gold's Gym. Talk about feeling like an idiot.

I have heard of people landing on their butts or worse getting hurt.
I was so glad I landed on my feet, and didn't embarrass myself. :thumbsup2

Mindy congrats on the 1000th post! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Thanks Todd!
However I started having that awful pain in my neck again yesterday, wondering if it had something to do with my treadmill accident. Going to the Dr. this morning. I was in so much pain last night it was all I could do to do a few loads of laundry. I couldn't even read without the pain. So I still have 1/2 of Eclipse to read and some packing to do.

I think that I have nixed the idea of the cooler. I will just buy my drinks on the ship.

Hi Tracy!

You can put the tips on your room. Then they give you slips of paper to give to the servers/room attendants.

:happytv::happytv:

I don't think I am going to make it through it either. I decided to listen to Breaking Dawn and it is just not going very fast. I would listen on the plase but I never get a moments peace on the airplane between DH and DS.

Last Monday and I am not even going to work today.:woohoo:

Thanks. He's got the mentality that this is his vacation, and he doesn't want to dress up. To him, khaki shorts is dressing up. It could be a deal breaker for ever going on another cruise if he has to dress up. I told him that we can eat in our stateroom in our underwear if he wanted.

When you say "they are not favorbly looked on," who is looking unfavorably upon him????

I think that I have nixed the idea of the cooler. I will just buy my drinks on the ship.

My DH freaked out a little bit last night about the dress up night. He read somewhere on the DCL site that you need to wear a jacket. He doesn't own a jacket. He is also upset that I scheduled Palo on a different night than dress up night. That means he has to bring 2 dress shirts. I told he I thought he was just going to wear the same dress shirt twice. Appearantly this does not work for him. So now he is bringing 2 dress shirts and a short sleeved dress shirt for Palo brunch. He is going to end up with more clothes than me.:scared1:

The crew, the other guests. The Navigator says no shorts, but you are not turned away for wearing shorts in the dining rooms. In Palo however, you are turned away.

If he wants to wear shorts, let him wear shorts. If he is uncomfortable or you are, tell him to eat at the Beach Blanket Buffet. Shorts are always acceptable there.

Thanks. Now instead of saying, "Because I say you can't wear shorts," I can say, "Because Tracy and the Navigator say you can't wear shorts.".
