Here goes nothing! My first ever trip report. I have so much fun reading everyone else's and I thought it would be fun to give it a shot myself! I'll get started by sharing the "who" of the trip!
Who - Cast of characters
Me - Nick (31, trip #8)
DW - Sarah (29, trip #6)
DS - "E" (3, trip #3)
DD1 - "J" (17 months, trip #2)
DD2 - "E" (6 months, trip #1-1/2) She was in mommies tummy on our last trip!
Sister - Heidi (35, trip #4)
"BIL" - Eric (not sure on his stats but he's my sister’s boyfriend and the kiddos love him)
Where - Camelot Inn
We are booked for the whole trip in a family suite. We like staying right across the street so we have quick access back and forth with 3 young kiddos. We've also stayed at BWPPI and the Park Vue. Both aren't even close to the quality of hotels in the resort but great options based on proximity!
About us
I'll give you a little back story on us as a Disney family! I didn't really become a huge fan until my 2nd trip when I was 14. I believe I was 3 for my first trip and the only memory I really have is pulling on Pluto's tongue! I didn't go again until after Sarah and I were married. We've been married 10+ years now! We ended up going with her family and she didn't understand why I was so EXCITED! After that one trip though she was hooked too and we've been multiple times since. We made a couple trips before kiddos and a couple since. Life has really changed for us over the past 3-4 years. We’ve lost over 250lbs combined and also gained 3 kids! We never thought we would be able to have children and so we decided to become foster parents through the state with the intention of building our family that way. This is after 7+ years of attempting 2 international adoptions in Africa that both failed. Through that process we were blessed with our DS “E” and our DD “J”. Then in February in 2014 we received the surprise of our lifetime and found out Sarah was pregnant with our DD “E”. Losing 100+lbs apparently can works wonders on one’s reproductive system! Are love for Disneyland has grown exponentially as we have shrunk! Our trips before kids consisted of taking the train everywhere and eating lots of park food. With the occasional ride or show thrown in there. It is a much happier and more magical place when you can actually walk around and enjoy it. Especially with kids now!
I'll add some pictures as we go and get closer to our departure date. I would love any tips you all have on putting these together and some input on what you'd like to see from the trip!
