first ever complaint for Disney (disappointed guest)

Some of the bands do make a sound when touched to a tapstyle. I believe the OP is disappointed that the sound may not occur at EVERY tapstyle. I think there are some that make a tapstyle sound only at DHS and some that do so only at park entrance gates, and I don't know about the others. And even then, sometimes they break or they skip the sound at the tapstyle.

no I'm mostly upset that i yes expected it to work all over a certain park, but the complaint is each band should be clear about where it works

Maybe already answered, OP, but what do you expect Disney to do with your complaint? I can't imagine something else coming out of it besides a reply saying, 'we understand your disappointment and we appreciate your feedback, thank you for taking the time to raise this topic to us'.

I do know that guest comments get circulated to the appropriate departments. You might still get what seems like a canned response as a guest. The front line CMs aren't necessarily privy to the hundreds of factors that must be considered in other departments, so they can't make promises on certain topics. But there are people who read the feedback, submit samples to managers, and write up executive summaries. A particularly good letter can get circulated, even read at a meeting where decisions are made. Disney is so big on guest feedback that they spend a good amount of resources studying it.

Another bonus: among the thousands of salaried people, there are at least a few who own the project of the limited edition magic band that OP bought. I imagine they spent time writing up a proposal for it, figuring out what kinds of sounds it would play, how much to price it, creating sample sounds and approving them, taking their ideas to a design team, getting okays from their bosses, estimating how many would sell, delivering files to the manufacturing team, meeting with IT to ensure it was integrated into the park systems, testing it to make sure it works, working with the retail team to allocate shelf space, tracking how well it was selling, and making recommendations for the next round of products. If I spent time on this project, I would probably be Googling to see if anyone was talking about the product I made. Who knows? Maybe I'd find this thread.

I'm sure you're mostly kidding, but...
The inductive charger is no problem.
It's the MBs that don't have the ability to receive (and make use of) the induced current.

It would be no problem for them to add the coil and diode to the internal circuit during manufacturing (and, of course, a rechargeable battery) but that's just not part of the design.
Work with me here, I'm planting seeds...
