Hi!

I think this is the right DVC forum for this. I read several pages of threads, but did not find what I am looking for. Please feel free to direct me to the right place if there is already such a thread. I never seem to be able to find things by searching.....

We own Wyndham and therefore typically stay at Bonnet Creek. We are very excited to have traded in to DVC through RCI and will be staying the last week of September. I am looking for what differences I need to be aware of (minus the onsite amenities like busses, magic bands, etc.) We know the rooms are smaller at DVC, but I would like to know what else to expect since unknowns make me really anxious right now (too many other stressors due to sudden losses in our family- I need this vacation!)

Specifically, I am interested in

1. Check in (at Bonnet Creek you can check in early and they unload all your stuff and hold it, then deliver to your room for you when available. We are staying overnight at Bonnet Creek the night before so we will be there at 10am.) If we have to wait until room availability, are there luggage trollies to help move things in or do we have to carry everything by hand?

2. Mousekeeping (there is zero during your stay at Bonnet Creek. Is there a mid-week cleaning for DVC? I need to know if we need to expect someone coming into our room at some point.)

3. Kitchen (will I have a full refrigerator/freezer? We bring frozen meals with us. Will we have pots/pans/plates/silverware etc.? I am assuming SSR 1 bedroom has a full sized kitchen.)

4. Laundry (Are there machines in each unit or is it communal?)

5. Dumb question, but there is only one bathroom in a one bedroom at SSR, right?

Anything else we need to be aware of that a first timer may not know/realize? (Or anything specific that is different between SSR and Bonnet Creek?)

Thank you for your patience with a DVC newbie!

1. When you arrive at 10am it is unlikely that your room would be ready. You can check your bags in with Bell Services. When you get to your room, you call Bell Services and they will deliver the luggage to your room.

2. On the 4th day (after the third night), Mousekeeping will do a trash and towel service. It is not a full cleaning, but they will generally replace towels and remove trash.

3. A 1 bedroom and above should have a full kitchen with full size refrigerator w/ freezer compartment. (The studios hav a small dorm-sized refrigerator)

4. For 1 BR and larger, you will have a washer dryer in the unit. For studios, there is a communal area.

5. 1BR 1 bathroom is right.
