It's my first trip with my Dbf to Disney and I want to do something special/romantic to celebrate.

We have ADRs at the following restaurant during the week (12/15 to 12/20):
Crystal Palace Lunch
Spirit of Aloha Show
Boma Breakfast
O'hana Breakfast
Chefs de France Dinner
50s Prime Time Dinner
Sci Fi Dine In Lunch

Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that you can order cakes, but would that be dumb to have one for a non-anniversary/birthday celebration (our birthdays are in July and our anniversary isn't until February).

Any suggestions for romantic things to do other than inside restaurants?

Thanks in advance!

Has your DBF ever been to WDW before? What resort are you guys staying at?

Also, take him to the toy shop in DTD and have him build a lightsaber, that is something no man can resist!

He's been once or twice but not in 9 or 10 years. We are staying at POP.

And OMG he would LOVE to build his own lightsaber!! That's a great idea as an early christmas gift! Thanks for the info!

That's funny b/c my DH can't resist anything Star Wars. Romantic is what you make of it. You can throw a penny in the Cinderella fountain by the castle and make a wish or just wander around people watching.

It's funny, I just looked at your dates and DGF and I will be at WDW at the same time, 14th through the 20th. Hoping for good weather and low crowds!

Make sure to catch all of the fireworks/night shows when you're there, DGF and I always love those. Is there anyway you can see Illuminations the same night you're at Chefs de France?

Do you guys have MVMCP tickets? I'd recommend it!

I think one of the best moments I've ever had with DGF was during our trip last spring break. We had just got done eating at Bistro de Paris and watching Illuminations. On our way out of the park, we decided to take the monorail over to the TTC (it was our last night, and I was dying to ride the monorail!). When we got there it was empty, which was a welcomed change from all the crowds that day. Looking across the Lagoon at the Magic Kingdom, we noticed that the fireworks for the pirate and princess party were starting. Watching them, we also noticed the boat was getting ready to leave, probably to pick up people leaving from the MK. We decided to hop on it, and once at the MK we'd take the bus to Pop (where we were staying at the time). On our way to to the MK the electric water parade passed in front of the boat. So here we are in the middle of the lagoon on an empty boat, Poly lit up behind us, GF to our left and fireworks from the magic kingdom, all the while we had our own 'private' parade. Definitely a magical moment for us!

Only problem was when we hit the crowd leaving the MK and had a 30 minute bus wait, but it was worth it!
