I emailed Dreams Unlimited hoping they can get me a good quote for our first ever Disney Cruise in June :)

We were originally going to vacation in WDW for 3 nights at Grand Floridian, but between renewing passes and the $294 a night AP rate.. and food costs, etc.. we were over $2000. For that much, we can take a 3 or 4 night cruise! So I cancelled the WDW trip and we'll see what happens now.

Anyone been on the 3 night cruise? Im wondering if its worth it for just 3 nights? Any info would be great.

Yes, we've been on 3-day cruises.....since we are Florida residents (and I guess you are to?), we reconciled in our minds that this was a nice , long weekend trip- the cost equivalent of staying at a moderately priced Disney hotel, food, and 2 day park tix....Typically , we'll do an off-peak time of year , for four of us (me, DW, DS, DS) about $1300 + tips and onboard stuff....

Thanks for the info! Yeah, we're in FL too.. so thats what we're looking for... a nice long weekend. I'll def consider the 3 night now. Thanks again :)

We did the 3 day cruise in 2002 as our first cruise and it was wonderful! However, it seemed so very, very short; as though we just got on, settled in and it was time to pack and get off again. If we were to do anything less than a 7 day again, I believe we would do a 4 day so we could have an at sea day and do the Palo brunch. Just my 2 cents. Happy cruising!

P.S. We are in the frozen tundra of Ohio so maybe that affects our opinion also. But in thinking further....a 3 day cruise is better than no cruise. Have fun!

We did two three-night cruises and loved them both. Now we're just back from a seven-night, and of course now I think that's the best (heaven forbid I ever do a 14-night!). For the three-nights, we made sure we were among the first people on board. That way, we were able to enjoy a wonderful meal and have time in the pool and hot tub before it was even time for the lifeboat drill. Makes it feel like an extra day on the ship.
