First Day

We had decided to go to Universal Studios for our first day. I’ve now found out that they don’t open until 10am. IOA open at 9am should I swap the parks around? I feel that as it’s our first day we will be up and about at the crack of dawn. What do you think?

I you are able to move from park to park depending on ticket type I suppose, then I would be at IOA at 9am do that park while it is quiet should be able to do most of the popular rides, then go to Studios at 10am and do the popular rides there. During my recent visit the only big queue at Studios was for Shrek and the fastpass went quickly.

I agree with Dave - the parks are so close that going between them on the same day, even more than once, is easy. We're planning on making the most of our Universal days by starting at IOA and finishing at US, with maybe a bit of dashing around to make best use of Express pass, if the queues are long. Suspect that other people will be doing the same!

Don't know if the parks are likely to open ahead of their published opening times. Maybe someone else does?

Just got back yesterday. The opening times were the opposite to the above.

US was scheduled to open at 9.00am but we arrived at 8.30 and they were already letting people in - we were inside the Shrek preshow by 8.40am

The next week we went to IOA, arriving at 9.0am not realising it wasnt open until 10.00am.

As we had got a 2 day pass which allows park hopping we went into USF and rode Shrek again then came out and went into IOA at 9.30am. Once again they were letting people in and the main rides Hulk/Spiderman were open.

A long winded way of saying dont worry !!



p.s They are currently doing a 3rd day free offer also (which we didnt use as it has to be taken within a week of first using your ticket)
