We're goingto DL! We're WDW pros, but excited about seeing where it all began. Here's the question: What's a good first day strategy given a likely late start?
We arrive late Monday(around 9 pm), 6/27, staying at Hojo. Since we're from NJ, we'll either wake up super early (EST) on Tuesday and get moving with a mid-day break; or we'll have a lazy morning to start the day and then go over and probably stay until Fantasmic/Fireworks. We'll be there until Saturday (and can leave anytime on Saturday since we're transferring to West Hollywood for a few days).
How manageable would DL be on a Tuesday, going through the gates late morning or early afternoon? Since we'll have 5 day hoppers, we don't have to do it ALL in one day, but would like to at least hit HM, PotC, and IASW in addition to the smaller attractions. I'm also quite happy to start at DCA if necessary, but walking through the castle on day one and doing a couple of top draws is a must!!
So far, all I have planned is Blue Bayou for an early lunch on Wednesday - I figure everything else can be filled in a little more spontaneously since we'll want only 1 or 2 nice meals in the hotels.
Thanks,
Dirk
