First day of school

Put my kiddos on the bus for the first time this morning.

I was afraid my 6 year old might not make this transition (changing schools) to easy....she's very shy and usually afraid to try new things.

She followed her big brother right on board though.

Can't wait until we can all sit down this evening and talk about the first day of school.

I cant believe schools are starting already! Im a kindergarten teacher and I am actually going through things for my classroom now, but class does not start til sept 8!

We are on the alternative calendar here, so my oldest has been in school for 3 weeks now. I put him on the bus for the first time last week, and now my neighbors must think I am nuts. The bus stop is about .2 mile down the street (we live on a dead end, and the bus stops at the first cross street) . I let my youngest stay sleeping, pull out a camp chair, and drink coffee as my 1st grader walks to the bus stop. I'm sure someone is wondering why the woman in sweatpants and a t-shirt with wild hair is having breakfast at the end of the driveway.

I am sure your guys will do just fine!

So how did it go? I'm sure all went well for them. We homeschool so I dont put my kids on the bus now, but I sure recall those days.

I remember those days oh as well with my little ones and hope the transition goes smoothly . Fortuantely they usually do better than the Mommies!

The kids love the new schools and the bus ride. They are doing great!!!!!
