Thanks in advance for any opinions on this.

We are going to be in DL for 3 full days in late Feb/early Mar. It just so happens that our 3rd day in the parks is also the 1st day of the F&W Fest. We will be 2 toddlers and 6 adults. I really think the adults will enjoy the festival, but I'm concerned about crowds. Is the first day absolutely crazy with crowds, or is it equally busy throughout the fest?

Also, that day is my daughters' birthday (they're turning 2). There's a good chance we'll be starting and ending the day at DL, so we'd likely be hopping to DCA during the middle/busiest part of the day.

In your expert opinions, if you had toddlers in tow, would you attend or avoid the first day of F&W?

If it makes any difference in attendance at all, I would expect that it will be in the late afternoon when locals head over after work. It probably will make for a busier evening than a normal Friday, but even then, maybe not by much.

I certainly wouldn’t avoid hopping over to DCA for awhile on account of it.

I agree, the evenings for holiday F&W were far, far busier than the afternoons. I think the afternoon would be the perfect time to check it out.

Thank you, both! This is good to hear. We'll head over in the afternoon and return to DL for the evening. Thanks!

I'll be in the parks that day as well and we're planning to have lunch/snacks at the F&W kiosks, followed by one of the cocktail making classes! Glad to hear that the crowds seem to show up for dinner and maybe our lines won't be too bad.
