I saw this topic on the Disney boards and wanted to bring it over here! What are your families first must do's at Universal?

Our family runs to IOA and starts things off at Cat in the Hat. I haven't experienced this ride since they toned it down. I hope it is still exciting for us! when discussing our upcoming trip, my 13 year old DS said "we are starting at Cat in the Hat right?" it's a fun family tradition for all of us!

We don't go to the parks on arrival day..We check in at PBH and head to the pool followed by citywalk..Dinner the first night is always Mama Dellas..Our first park day changes. The first year we did IOA first and Forbidden journey as our first ride, the 2nd year we did the Studios first and Despicable me .Not sure what we are doing this year yet

I don't know.. But it is a good idea to start some sort of tradition! My kids love family traditions.. We have quite a few, but no vacation tradition!

Last time, we arrived late Saturday and went to the park that Sunday. We basically booked it straight to Hogsmeade. This time, we plan to arrive earlier on a Saturday but won't actually go to the parks until Monday. Maybe we will start one this time!

I will be interested in hearing everyone else's traditions! :)

We always eat at bubba gumps the first night. We don't live near one so always enjoy this :))

We always check in to PBH or RPR and head to IOA for lunch at Confiscos and then a ride on the Cat in the Hat and then Spider-Man.

Well, by the time we arrive at the RPR we have been awake around 20 hours or so..........so we freshen up and it's our tradition to eat in Jake's Bar, have a cocktail in Orchids Lounge and try and stay awake till 10pm which is really 3am by our body clock

Have a great sleep and we're ready for first full day :thumbsup2

We really don't have any because we are always there.

Well we do say it's good to be home while pulling in RPR or PBH.
