We will be arriving at WDW around noon or so. We are staying at FW. We will be there for four more days. What would you suggest we do the first day. In other words is there one park that would make take more than a day and we could do part of it the first day? I am trying to start planning our days. :scratchin

I think that the only parks we spend more than one day in are Magic Kingdom and Epcot but it depends on the age range in your group.

If you have very little ones that are freshest in the morning, than I'd do Epcot the first day. Save Magic Kingdom for a day when you can get there super early and go right to Fantasyland with them. Epcot seems to have a more leisurely pace, so maybe just stroll through the World Showcase.

If the kids are older, maybe opt for MGM/Disney Studios and ride Tower of Terror and Rock-n-Roller Coaster a few times each - just to start the trip off with a bang! Then have a fun meal at Sci-Fi Dine In or 50's Prime Time Cafe.

Have Fun!

I agree -- MK and Epcot are the parks that we need to visit more than one day per trip. Ak and MGM are half to three-quarter-day parks for us. Another thing to take into consideration is which park you'll be closest to from your hotel (if you're staying on-site) -- for your first day, it's often easiest to hit the park that you're closest to. Hope this helps!

I agree with MK taking longer. Epcot, too, if you choose to do all of it. We actually, think of Epcot Future World and Epcot World Showcase as two different parks.

We will be there early on our arrival day, and are choosing to go to Blizzard Beach.

Our favorite first half day is at Epcot -- we visit some of the less-popular attractions in Future World, grab dinner in World Showcase and see Illuminations!

I should have explained better. We are two senior citizens going by ourselves and we are staying at the campground. I was to WDW 24 years ago and my husband has never been. After doing a lot of studying on here, I was thinking that we would spend more time in Epcot and the Magic Kindom. I very much like wild animals so want to go there one day. Not sure about MGM. Thanks for all suggestions. :scratchin

Okay, got it. Let's then say that if I had the opportunity to go with just my darling hubby - I would definitely hit Epcot's World Showcase for our first half day. The food, the ambiance, all of the little nooks and crannies to explore - perfect! Have a nice meal and take in the movie in Canada pavilion, the boat ride in Mexico, perhaps ride the boat across the lake from Future World to World Showcase when entering.

Have Fun!

And definitely enjoy your day at Animal Kingdom - it's a wonderful place to explore, but a lot of walking. So be prepared to stop and enjoy all of the beauty. Don't miss the Legend of the Lion King show - it's phenominal!
