I am trying to plan my advance reservations (even though September is still not up). I am considering doing the Hoop dee doo review on our arrival day but want to know if it seems feasible or if the timing would be too tight. We should arrive in Orlando at 2:28. I assume we would get to Disney we are staying at POR and using the magical express) about 4:15? Would it be to tight to do the 7:15 show? Would it take about an hour and a half to get from POR to Hoop dee doo? I will have a 5 year old, 3 year old and 17 month old so the later show is out of the question. Also, anyone know what happens if our flight was late and we didn't make it? Do we pay anyway (we are on dining plan).

You would have to pay anyway if you don't make it. (I think there's a 48-hour cancellation policy). You would be cutting it VERY close and if anything goes wrong on any leg of your journey, you would be out all that money. For that reason, I never schedule HDDR for my arrival day, no matter how early I'm scheduled to arrive. I know it's a bummer, because it would be a perfect 1st night activity!

BTW, to get there from POR, take resort bus to MK and boat to FW. It could easily take 1.5 hours or more, depending on how long you have to wait for the bus and boat. (or take a taxi, quicker, but $$).

thanks so much. that answers it. I guess I can't take the chance something would happen as we are coming from Chicago. We could miss it and lose the money. I thought it would be a fun first night! Downtown Disney it is I guess.

I think Hoop-Dee-Doo is a great last night dinner. We sing the song all the way home on the plane!!

I just booked hoop dee doo but could only get catagory 3 seating . Should I keep my ressies or is catagory 3 too far up to enjoy the show?

You can enjoy HDDR from anywhere in my opinion. The building where it is held isn't that large so I don't think anyone misses out on the show.
