Hi.
I have friends in their 60s that are going to Disney for the first time in over 30 years.
They will be staying at the BW.
I want them to have dinner on/by the BW since it is their arrival day and don't want them
too overwhelmed their first day. They will not have a park ticket to get into a park that evening.
My friend can walk very well, and her dh will have a scooter.
I currently have them eating at Flying Fish but have been really reconsidering that decision since
I made the reservation. No buffets. Would it be better if I had them go to Swan/Dolphin?
Please help me. What would you suggest. It doesn't have to be Yachtsman but not Beaches and Cream either.

Thanks so much!

There is Trattoria al Forno, Big River Grille and ESPN. Why go the whole way over to Swan/Dolphin? I think Flying Fish is good but, IMHO, not worth the price even for Disney food prices.

Thank you.
I just spoke with my friend (I'm booking and organizing her whole trip) and we decided she will get on bus and visit the monorail resorts
and eat at one for dinner. Back to the drawing board LOL
Thank you. I was never happy about Flying Fish anyway.

Swan/Dolphin are very close and the restaurants there are almost universally better than what you'll find in the Monorail resorts. Boardwalk to Monorail resorts is kind of a pain for transportation, especially with a scooter.

are they flying or driving. Arrival day adr could be problematic, if their flight is delayed....
might be better to plan on CS or a resturant with walk-up availibility.

DW and I have stayed at the BWI many times. And we usually enjoyed a meal on the Boardwalk on our arrival day. After traveling for many hours we were not interested in more traveling just to find food. We usually ended up going to the Big River Grille. Yes, I know it is not known as the best place but we were satisfied with the food. If the weather is good we would sit outside at the tables on the Boardwalk. If we wanted dessert we would wander back to the ice cream shop.

If they want to do a bit more exploration before or after dinner they could walk around Crescent Lake and visit the BC and YC.
