The last wedding I was at, they had "How Sweet it is" by James Taylor.. and it's a cute song, but it's pretty fast paced. The couple had a cute little dance choreographed out.. but forgot it halfway through the song. They wound up just rocking back and forth awkwardly through the rest of the song.
That is a great song!! My DH wanted that but I wanted There's No Way by Alabama so we had that.
I also love Annie's Song by John Denver-such a beautiful song. My cousin had a song by Billy Joel 'You're My Home"-a really great song esp. for military folks.
I had forgotten about that Billy Joel song A friend had that at their wedding... thought it was a great idea, something unusual that not many people have used over the years!
My BFF just got married, she's still on her honeymoon. They danced to "Then" by Brad Paisley, if you haven't heard it find it and give it a listen, that may very well be your dance. It's a beautiful song!!
It took us ages to pick a song for our first dance - in fact it was probably the hardest decision we had to make. Neither of us really liked any of the 'traditional' first dance songs so we had Morcheeba -Rome wasn't built in a day.
My husband and I were the total When Harry Met Sally couple as we were such great friends for many years so it was perfect. Actually the night he proposed, we had just watched the movie and he asked me to marry him during the credits. We just had our 13th wedding anniversary this past Monday.
We danced to Anne Murray's "Can I Have This Dance" some good friends had "True Companion" -can't remember the artist but they got engaged at his concert during this song. My sister had "When You Wish Upon a Star".
