First Cruise help with itineraries - Early Summer 2026

Thank you! After additional research and reviews, I am heavily leaning towards the June 6 eastern Caribbean trip on the Treasure. I don’t know if that would be my first ship choice, but I like the itinerary and length.

I am confident my kids will enjoy it and want to be on the longer trip, and I think we will want to enjoy the extra time to get settled, relax, and enjoy a lot of what the ship has to offer.

The theming is not my favorite of the ships, and I’m a little sad that the Castaway day is shorter.

And I don’t know if we would tack on two nights at Disney World with this length - likely not… but my kids would be in the sweet spot age for Magic Kingdom, and if we already need to fly to MCO, then it would be nice to stop there. Which all keeps me going back to a 5 nighter to keep the overall trip a manageable length!
I like watching you tube reviews on ships. It helps me a lot. I just try to avoid the vloggers sailing for free. You won't get an honest review.

I like 7 night itineraries, but my kid was DONE being on the ship by day 4 or 5. But we had an itinerary shift so we didn't get off the ship as many times as we were planning, and that might have played into it.

I would always recommend starting out with a 4 or 5 night for first cruise. I would also suggest picking the most affordable. If you love it you'll be booking a placeholder for the longer future cruise. If you hate it less damage done to your bank account.

The first three options all look fantastic for a first cruise. I'd happily recommend any of them.

Three sea days on a first cruise is a lot. If your family really wants to do this one, I would make sure they stay busy on the sea days and review the list of activities every day.

These dates are so far on the edge of hurricane season that it would have no effect on my decision. It will be hot in the Caribbean, so be prepared with water and sunscreen every day.
