This was a 16th anniversary cruise for hubby and I. We were in a Cat 5 room, deck 7, room 7038.

We stayed at Radisson Port Canaveral the day before the cruise. We had a king bed room, first floor near the pool. The room was great, the hotel is very nice...we definately recommend the Radisson. The pool/hot tub area is beautiful. Nice pool bar, offers sandwhiches with the drinks. Live music on Friday afternoons to get you in the mood for the cruise.

We had lunch and dinner at Grills (grills.com for 10% off coupons). The food and service is excellent. So good, we went back for breakfast the morning before we cruised.

So finally, it is cruising day 9/13. We got up at 4:30am, drove to the port to watch the Macic Dock. all lit up, she turns around and takes her place at the disney terminal. We were at the Terminal a few minutes before 10...gates opened about 10:15 to let the cars in. Hubby dropped me, he parked and met me inside. The security staff downstairs were hilarious, joking and laughing.

The terminal is as beautiful as all of you had said. Joe checked us in and we were off to the line to wait for boarding. The doors opened, we were announced and hubby went to make Palo ressies, I headed off to make spa ressies. Then to the adult pool for some jacuzzi time and a drink before it gets crowded.

We headed back to the room at 1:30pm...one piece of luggage had already arrived, the others showed up while we were dropping our day bags off. We enjoyed champagne and petite fours on our balcony while the manatees swam below.

We had the late seating, LAPLAPL rotation. Burchell from Jamaica and Constantin from Romania were our servers. They were very nice. Dinner was good..Pearls of melon in port wine, escargot, duck, beef, apple tart, creme brulee and grand marnier souffle.

We headed back to the cabin to turn in early, as we were exhausted. I think all our tablemates were tired as well..as dinner was very quiet.

For some reason, I am always very tired on the first night, too!!

The Magic must be really beautiful coming into port at Port Canaveral early in the morning.

What a magical way to start a cruise.
Tina :)

Yes, she is beautiful, all lit up, coming down the passage way.

The carnival glory comes in almost right behind her.
