I've just had an email that said £164 for flights departing on the 13th of September but when I clicked on the link and put those dates in it came up with £134 and £174 for extra legroom and late checkin. Just thought I'd let everyone know in case they fancied a last minute trip.

I've just had a look - but with all the added extras it shot up the total to over £700 for 2 adults and one child!

What a con!

As long as you don't add on group seating, insurance or car hire then the price really is £134 - pretty good considering it's for 2 weeks & the new service on the planes too :)

Still not cheaper than TCD at £59+tax for September. However, possibly more likely to arrive on time!

That's the flight we're going on - hope to see some of you on board!!

Hope you have a good time! You won't see me because I've used up my holidays for this year plus I'm going for 3 weeks next July so am saving like mad for that.

Julie - £700 for 2 adults and 1 child is still pretty good - our flights with Virgin for next July are costing us over £600 each!

Yes - In know it's still a good price - but doesn't quite work out as the £134 they claim on the website, that's all I was meaning.

This is what I found in the price details :

Prices shown are per person for the number of adults you have selected.

Quoted prices exclude the following:
Guaranteed online discount
Compulsory fuel supplement of between £20 and £45 per person
Compulsory ticket on departure charge of £12 per person, if travelling within 14 days
Travel Foundation contribution of 40 pence per adult and 20 pence per child (we give you the option to decline this contribution)
On some holidays we make a small charge for in-flight meals (up to 5 days before departure we give you the option to decline chargeable meals)
On some holidays we charge for transfers from the airport to your accommodation (we give you the option to decline chargeable transfers)

To be honest you get that with all of them don't you. I mean take our flights for example they are costing us £629 each plus the fuel surcharge. The email I got actually stated £164 but when I clicked on the link and put the date they said in it came out at £134 and even with the surcharges that would total less then I paid to go to Gran Canaria with them. Put it this way I wish there had been prices like that around when I booked our seats for next year!

Well I have just checked it out on the First Choice web site and it comes out at exactly the same as advertised. All the taxes etc are added on then the online booking discount is deducted and the amount to pay comes out at £134 or £174 depending on the cabin.
