We are staying at BLT for the first time next month - any must dos while staying there? Is there any onsite food there or only at the Contemporary? I would love to hear of any tips or any BLT experiences that you would like to share!

Thanks
Dawna

Finger food and drinks are available in the TOTWL and drinks at the BLT pool, maybe some food also.

I you have children, I Would check out the Community Hall with them.

Go to Top of the World lounge to view Wishes. Great way to see the show and avoid the crowds. They turn the lights down outside and pipe the sound in. Little different view, and in some cases you are on a birds eye view way up there.

The food is over at Contemporary. Contempo Cafe is a pretty good QS place, has lots of choices. The Wave is a wonderful place for buffet breakfast or lunch. I am not big on dinner there, but thats just me. Lots of great shops at Contemporary.

Proximity to MK is tops, just a 10 min walk to the gates.

Catch the monorail to other resorts and check them out. Kona and Grand Fl. Cafe are good places to eat.

Boats to Wilderness Lodge and Trails End also give you more eating options. Trails End has a nice breakfast buffet. While there, check out the stables where they house a lot of the horses and ponies that participate in MK shows and pull carts, including Cinderellas coach.

I know the things I mention take you away from BLT but I consider them perks of proximity. We love just hanging out at BLT too. Its a very peaceful place.

I have an 8 and 9 year old. They LOVE the little beach behind the pool.
You will usually have it all to yourself. It is the most peaceful place I have found at DW.
It is really my favorite spot to hang out while the kids play in the sand.
Don't get too close to the water.....we saw a large gator last year.

Thank you so much! Have stayed at BLT several times and never noticed! (haven't been to pool area at all yet).
Looks so peaceful (except for the Gator!) and can't wait to check it out.

Thanks again.

We like to play Bocce ball. (not sure how to spell it) You can get the set at the community center.

I second the breakfast buffet at The Wave! We've also taken the boat to FW for breakfast at Trail's End or to WL for Whispering Canyon. We make use of monorail to enjoy amenities at Poly or GF. Walk to MK is a huge plus for a BLT stay! Enjoy!
