With such a dark main character the movie will be sinister, don't you think? This reminds me of the musical Wicked based on the Wicked Witch's POV from The Wizard of Oz. Great musical, I wonder if this will be Burton's next movie.

I still think Tim Burton should re-make the origional Alice storyline (the new movie is supposed to be when Alice grows up). It was always a very dark story, and the Disney version didnt do it justice.

The new movie reminds me very much of "American McGee's Alice".

There is a book out called "Maleficent". It is the story from her perspective. It is currently for sale on WDW property.
