First 2 weeks of February

Could someone tell me what the crowds are like the first 2 weeks of February. Thinking about taking a trip next year(2005) for the week of Mardi Gras(5-12). I think these dates will be 1-1/2 to 2 weeks before Presidents week which I heard can be crowded.

feb is our favorite time! having been in april, may, june, november and february...we'll take feb anytime! crowds are low (before president's week), weather is nice and, best of all, it's value season!

The first 2 weeks of February are great. We're heading back for our third straight visit 2/1/04. No lines to speak of, weather is usually 72º during the day and low 50º's at night.

Clement we were there yast year during President's week. Crowds were low leading up to the weekend. Most rides were walk on. Once Saturday arrived park's and resorts doubled. By the middle of the week crowds had thinned out a bit.

Knowing this if you plan according, use fastpass and make PS's in advance and expect crowds you won't be disappointed.

We will be returning again this year during the same time frame with our Grandchildren. Some schools have this week as winter break and when you live in the frigid north it's nice to thaw your bones, even during peak times.

I am hearing Disney is experiencing record crowds this year so I'm expecting it to be more crowded.

Thanks for the replies Guys. It looks like I've picked a good time to go from what you guys have told me. It will be in value season and it will be 2 weeks before Presidents week. I hope the crowds are comparible to September because there were hardly any crowds to talk about on our Sept. 03 trip. Kids are also out of school the whole week so we won't have to pull them out at all.
Don't you just love planning a magical vacation!!!

Went the First Week of February 2003. There was no crowds and never had to wait long for anything. Even the weather was good and wore shorts several days of that week.

Another vote of confidence here! We've gone the second week of February the last 2 years, and were supposed to go back the 1st week of Feb this year(so we could use the APs from last years trip) but due to some changes at work we had to bump up our vacation by a week. So we leave...lets just say SOON! sorry, getting a little excited!

I was at the parks during that time last year and two years previous to that. Last year when we went we froze to death every day except the last two. Be prepared with everything. We wore hats and mittens and practically everything in our suitcases! The last two days we were in shorts, so you never know. As for crowds, last year I thought was busy for February. About as crowded as it was around the end of April/beginning of May. We were rather surprised. If you use fast pass and avoid MK on certain days, it's fine. Just don't expect it to be empty! Have a great time. I wish you warm weather.

We will be at the Poly Feb 8 (Sun) through Feb 12 (Thur). We plan to spend most of our time at the MK. Which days do you thing we should avoid?

Hi---

Although we like "hot weather," we love going in February. My kids have off Mardis Gras (we live in Lafayete, LA) and the weather is "jean/T Shirt weather" Twice, my kids even swam. Like someone said, just stay away from Pres. week and you'll be fine. Come to think of it, it's not THAT bad---
