Epcot Day!!!! Tried, but failed, to get everyone up, fed and out to arrive before opening...we did manage to make it at about 9:20.

According to plan, we made a beeline to Mission Space to get FP's, then jumped into the 20 minute line for Test Track. I was a little nervous for DD9, because this would be her first "real" theme park ride beyond ferris wheels and carousels. No need for that, she loved it as much as we all did (which was a lot!); but we all wished that the fast part of the ride was longer :D .

Walked back to Mission Space and from the moment of entering the FP line, DH and I agreed that Fast Passes are the best invention since sliced bread. Took us maybe 10 minutes from walking in to being seated--including the "pre-mission" briefing. More worries about DD9--many signs were posted about motion sickness--and she gets carsick easily, so I was kicking myself for not being prepared with motion sickness medication (for her, I thought). The ride began and I'm so sure I would have loved it--if only I wasn't chanting this internal mantra the whole time: "don't throw up, don't throw up, don't throw up"... Ugh...it was miserable. Turns out that DH had the same problem. The kids all loved it. We all agreed that we liked Test Track better and would try to get back to it before the end of the day.

Before lunch, we were also able to see Ellen's Energy Aventure, spend some time exploring Innoventions (not as much time as we would've liked), The Living Seas (had a hard time getting the kids to leave!), and Honey I Shrunk the Audience (used FP). Wanted to see Body Wars / Cranium Command, but that Pavilion was closed. By noon, I was starting to get anxious about time, because I really wanted to spend more time in the World Showcase. We had lunch at the Sunshine Season Food Fair; pretty good, good variety. Then, off to Mexico!

We rode the boat ride in Mexico, and picked up a Passport for DD9 to get stamped. In Norway, we rode Maelstrom... which was more fun than DH and I thought it would be. In China, we saw the "Wonders of china" film. It was really interesting and beautiful--but no seating. The acrobats here were wonderful...we all enjoyed their performance. Had a hard time getting out of the gift shop...too many things to see! By the time we got into Germany, I realized we were running out of time :( . Germany smelled really good (we were getting hungry ;) ) We had a 7:50 PS for Rose and Crown, so we needed to get to the "other side of the world" in time for that. We had to skip all the other countries except for UK. I was pretty disappointed, but look forward to our next trip :) DH and I enjoyed R&C very much...kids, not so much. We were able to get the much-mentioned patio seating. I actually didn't get why it was so great. It was a bit too warm for comfortable outdoor eating. Also, we could have easily staked out an Illuminations viewing spot in the area. Servers were very friendly and accomodating. And Illuminations was great!!

Two days for Epcot would have been nice. Went back to our condo, very tired.

DD6 couldn't stand Maelstrom, but Test Track was fun for her.

We never made it around World Showcase either and will do that next time too. We saw Illuminations from the front on the plaza, but would have loved to see it from the back. Sounds like you're having fun and thanks for the report.
