Doc said no exercise until I was through with the antibiotics, so I was laid up for a while. Well, today I was sooooo ready to get moving again and I thought who better to get me back in the groove than my beloved Allie!
So I popped in MCB + Abs (yes Lisa, you still need to get this one!) and bunny hopped 'til I dropped!
After not moving much in the last 10 days, I just couldn't face Cathe today, and getting back to The FIRM felt just like snuggling my tootsies in a comfy old pair of slippers.


I am so sorry that you had a kidney infection. Yikes!

When I read that you did a little FIRMin' at the beginning of your post, somehow I knew that Allie was involved.

. The Firm parts that I ordered from Overstock. I probably won't be able to review them until this weekend. The Standing legs and 5 day abs are in this set- hope I'm up to it.

I did manage to make it through the workout, but I gave myself permission to skip the ab section.
) Plus, it has a great stretching segment at the end of the video. You all know I love her Timesaver Weight Lifting video. This one is a keeper as well. You can do 20 minutes when you're in a hurry or you can do all 40 for a super sweat soaker.

Yes! I've actually done Allie twice this week! Yesterday I combined the cardio section of MCB with a step premix from Cathe's Step, Jump & Pump workout! It came to about 50 minutes of pure cardio (I skipped the abs
) and it was GREAT! Allie has always motivated me. When I was losing weight, she was always my "go to" instructor--even when I felt like giving up and forgetting about all my goals, she always made me smile and get moving. She's struggled with weight and personal issues herself and was often condemned for looking "bigger"
in some of the newer FIRMs, and I just think I could relate to her. Plus, she's cute as a button, cues well and puts together great routines! Can you say "Restraining Order"? I knew you could!

The pain's not too bad right now, and Doc actually said it's good for me to keep exercising--just stop if the pain gets worse. I'm going to avoid ab work and modify my intensity a little bit so that I stay comfortable. Gosh, getting old's a real PIA!!!
