I didn't see a new thread. I know I haven't been firming as long as the rest of you, but it really does feel good

I did Super Body Sculpt plus I went ahead and added in cardio sculpt blaster
 
Hi FIRMies!:wave2:

I thought I'd join you all in a little FIRMin' this morning! Today is my first day back exercising for a while as I'm coming off a kidney infection.:crazy2: Doc said no exercise until I was through with the antibiotics, so I was laid up for a while. Well, today I was sooooo ready to get moving again and I thought who better to get me back in the groove than my beloved Allie!:love: So I popped in MCB + Abs (yes Lisa, you still need to get this one!) and bunny hopped 'til I dropped!:Pinkbounc After not moving much in the last 10 days, I just couldn't face Cathe today, and getting back to The FIRM felt just like snuggling my tootsies in a comfy old pair of slippers.:)

Hi sm4987! Way to go doing Body Sculpt and BSB and I'm glad you're loving your workouts! You're doing GREAT!:cheer2:

Good Monday afternoon Firmies!

Well, I've had a busy weekend, including an anniversary part last night where we had a blast! On Saturday I did Calorie Killer and thought of my Firm buddies. It was tough but I know it was worth getting through it, even though it has more leg presses than I think any work out should be allowed to have! On Sunday I did another Nancy Tucker work out, Super Cardio Sculpt which was great as always. This morning I took it easy and slept in. I might go for a 30 minute walk with DH tonight or do the ab portion of super body sculpt. We'll see.

I'm down 1.5 pounds this week and want to get to onderland so bad that I'm going back to Phase 1 of SBD for a week to see if I can get these 6 pounds gone as quickly as possible!

Sheree - thanks for getting us started! You may not have been Firming as long as some on this thread but your consistent effort and hard work is so inspiring!!!! You did both those work outs today? Yikes!!! What great work. I feel like a lazy slug compared to you! You go girlie!!!!!

Kim - my WISH-sis, it's so nice to see you posting with us!!! I'm glad you're over that kidney infection and are back to Firming again. I know I have to get MCB +Abs but I'm also considering a Cathe work out. I said I'd get one of hers when I get to onderland and I'm just 6 pounds away! Have a great day and take care of yourself.

Tracy - Isn't CK a killer? I do love some of the kickboxing and other moves in this one. What I don't love is all the leg presses but I keep telling myself they are worth it.

Happy Monday Firmies:

Just checking in- no Firming for me this weekend- ending up walking/jogging with DS on Sat again- so took Sunday off as a rest day. Got my treadmill in this am so starting the week off good!

Kim- Sorry to hear about the kidney infection- oh I hate those! Glad you are feeling better!

Lisa- doesn't it seem the closer to a goal- the harder to get there? Hate that!:mad: My losses are slowing this month too and its maddening. Just hang in there- we'll both get thru this!

It was mentioned on the Firm YAYA boards I think. They are a bad influence- I have gone and ebayed and half.com this week and ordered a bunch of the old classic tapes. I hear they are hard- so this is gonna be interesting. There is a Thighblaser rotation that uses the classic tapes and that is the part of my body that I am loosing too slow! I'm hoping to get everything by Sept- and I'm gonna attempt that rotation. If you don't hear from me for awhile- ya might need to call 911!:crazy:

Good morning Firmies-

Last night was CA&WT with Emily. I don't know why I kept putting off doing this one - I really liked it! I'll probably do it again this week.

This am was 20 min treadmill again- and I have added on to my morning workout. I am doing 10 pushups (on my knees- I'm trying to get strong enough for the big girl pushups :sunny: ) and 10 French presses on a stability ball. I saw this on someone's web site (Denise Austin?) and thought it would be nice to add some upper body in the am. I am going to work up to 3 sets in a row- doing one before and one after now.

And I got some of my new tapes in yesterday:bounce: . The Firm parts that I ordered from Overstock. I probably won't be able to review them until this weekend. The Standing legs and 5 day abs are in this set- hope I'm up to it.

Well let me put it to you this way, I went on a food bender. It wasn't pretty. But on Monday I began the strict phase of South Beach and did Calorie Killer with nancy (I really want to take her to PTC for a buger). Today I did my exercise show as I didn't leave enough time, there was a fire down the street and we went to make sure everyone one was ok. I had really packed on some weight while I have been unemployed but I think I finally got sick and tired of being sick and tired.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning and have started going back to my 12 step meeting but I do have to miss tomorrow because of the interview but that's ok.

So here is to our 27th week together!

Thanks so much to each of you for your never ending support. I really do appreciate it!!! Onderland here I come!!!!

This morning I did cardio sculpt blaster even though I had a rough night. Long story, maybe I'll tell it later. Suffice it to say I went to bed at 4:00 this morning and ended up taking the day off and I'm working from home. I'm going to make something to eat right quick (I ate the toppings off 3 slices of pizza at 4:00 in the morning because I hadn't eaten for 16 hours - it wasn't pretty) and then go to sleep.

Anyway, I hope you each have a wonderful Firmin' day and that you keep up the great work! :sunny:
 
Oh Lisa, I'm sorry you had such a rough night.:hug: I'm hoping that when you get some sleep you'll be feeling better.

I'm not saying this to be at all funny (as an insomniac I can sure relate to the nasty effects of sleep deprivation), but you know you're FIRM-addicted when you've had virtually no sleep and STILL want to exercise. Out of all the addictions one can have, FIRMing is certainly a good one.:) Take care of YOU today, Hunny Bunny!:hug: :love2:
 
Good morning FIRMies!

Today was Total Sculpt with Jen. I was feeling mighty lazy this morning and all I wanted to do was cruise the DISboards. Needless to say, I got off my fanny (:teeth: ) and on to the fanny lifter.;) I did manage to make it through the workout, but I gave myself permission to skip the ab section.

On Tuesday, I got a new workout video (FREE) from a rewards program I do. It's Kathy Smith's Timesaver Cardio Workout. This video is pretty good. I did the first 20 minute workout yesterday and will probably attempt the 2nd twenty minute workout tomorrow. (Need that cardio!:Pinkbounc ) Plus, it has a great stretching segment at the end of the video. You all know I love her Timesaver Weight Lifting video. This one is a keeper as well. You can do 20 minutes when you're in a hurry or you can do all 40 for a super sweat soaker.:crazy2: :faint:

Hi Tracy!:wave2: :hug: Yes! I've actually done Allie twice this week! Yesterday I combined the cardio section of MCB with a step premix from Cathe's Step, Jump & Pump workout! It came to about 50 minutes of pure cardio (I skipped the abs :eek: ) and it was GREAT! Allie has always motivated me. When I was losing weight, she was always my "go to" instructor--even when I felt like giving up and forgetting about all my goals, she always made me smile and get moving. She's struggled with weight and personal issues herself and was often condemned for looking "bigger" :rolleyes: in some of the newer FIRMs, and I just think I could relate to her. Plus, she's cute as a button, cues well and puts together great routines! Can you say "Restraining Order"? I knew you could! :p ;) :hyper: I'm sending lots of sunshine your way, Tracy!:sunny:

Well, friends, my doctor has found out the reason behind my kidney infection last week--kidney stones!:crazy2: The pain's not too bad right now, and Doc actually said it's good for me to keep exercising--just stop if the pain gets worse. I'm going to avoid ab work and modify my intensity a little bit so that I stay comfortable. Gosh, getting old's a real PIA!!!:mad: Doesn't my body realize I'm still 16?!!!:teeth:

:wave2: Haven't been around for 2 days. I took them off. I was back on it today though. I did the firm cardio split and cathe basic step. I can't wait to try the rest of the video
 
Hey ladies, just had to rush and tell you. I got the new system in this afternoon. When I first bought it, it was supposed to come with the yoga tape, instead it has four workout tapes. Each one is lead by a different instructer. I can't wait til tomorrow morning to work it out:jumping1:

The new BSS3's have been getting some good reviews over at the Ya Yas! I think I read in one of your posts that you have some Cathe's? If you get a chance, I'd love to hear how you'd compare the two (no rush :) )! Thanks so much!

Alright ladies. I'll go with my first review of one of the firm tapes. I did total muscle shaping with Stephanie and all I can say is WOW. or better yet WOW My biceps hurt so bad right now that typing with my arms bent is painful. I'll start off by saying that the set is beautiful. These ladies are in much better shape than they are in previous videos. This is tough. It is intense. I have watched Cathe on discovery and yes she is intense. However, if you love the firm, this is a must have. The leg presses are intense with squats on the bench. Yes leg press, lift and then some squats then immediately switch legs. There are lots of squats in this tape. The aerobics is fun and hard. There are lots of dips and lunges. I do mean lots. There is also tricep dips, ribcage pullovers with weights and a good chest workout. The ab section is tough. Different feeling when you are on the box. The box wasn't unsteady at all. I was the one unsteady. There are two step aerobics parts, one on the full bench and one with the incline. The incline is tricky. I didn't fully catch on, but maybe next time.

Tomorrow I'll try Lisa's cardio. It's only 30 minutes and that's only if I can move.
 
Thanks for the review, I just saw part of the infommercial this am so I am definately getting it. But the best news is and I couldn't wait to share it with you guys is that I got the job. Boy does unemployment reek havoc with your self esteem. So as soon as my new paycheck starts coming in I'm getting the new tapes. I even feel better about our trip now that I'll be employed when we go. Animal Kingdom Lodge here we come!

Sheree~ I am so glad that you posted about BSS3. I was just thinking today that some of the moves in BSS2 are becoming easy for me and what am I going to do to rev up my workouts? Sounds like I will definitely have to do some research on BSS3! Thanks Sheree! :Pinkbounc :teeth:

Today was CAWT for me. I really felt good doing this workout today. Tomorrow is my rest day so I wanted to get a good workout in today. Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend!

This new workout will definately give you new moves. I did Fat Blasting Cardio this morning and I couldn't halfway keep up. The moves are new and innovating. I hate that I brought all those Cathe workouts as these new firm ones are going to keep me busy for a while. This was a short tape, but 10 minutes into it I was huffing and puffing. Yesterday I had to drop my weights back down just to keep up it was so tough. Now I'm sitting here just to pooped to do much else. The moves are tough. All they use is 5 and 3 pound weights in this workout and you really feel it. There is a lot of step work with lots of power moves. You don't have to do the power and some of the moves I didn't just to keep up. They use the full length of the box most of the time. When you incline the box,the moves get tougher.

I love the firm. When I the old tapes got easy, that's when I went to Cathe. This new series will rival her. For me it's better because I like the firm instructors. I say just as soon as you can get it, get it. Now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the old fannie lifter.
