Firm Check-in April 1st to April 30

s&k's mom, I'm getting rid of the other two boxes. Trust me when I say, this one will replace the other's!! I can even see using it for the ones with the small square boxes. DH was almost as excited as I was when I got it simply because he knows just how wonderful exercising is making me feel.
 
Sheree that's just what I was thinking.

DS woke up just as I was starting a workout so I'll give it another try tomorrow.
 
Hi, everyone! Lisa (Zera'sPride) invited me to stop over here, when I was wondering whether the Firm would be right for me.
I took the plunge last night and bought the set they have at Target with the 3 DVDs (one of which is the cardio blaster that I have heard is wonderful) and then it also comes with that stick that breaks down into dumbbells, etc. I think I will try the cardio one tonight while DH and DS are out and DD is away. I have a 5K to walk on Saturday, so I don't want to overdo it and get sore, but I am at least going to run through one of the DVDs and maybe do some arm work to get started.

Lisa says I'll get addicted. I am looking forward to it!
 
Cam, welcome. This is addictive stuff. This is what has helped me lose 60 pounds (along with SBD)! It is great, and we welcome you to come back and let us know which workout you've done. We're here to encourage past anything you can imagine.

O.K. ladies, I know you want to know, so I'll tell ya. Today I did Jiggle free buns AND Ultimate calore blaster. I was only going to do jiggle free buns because I've heard so many great things about it on the firm website. I have been to the YaYa site yet to hear what they have to say.

First of all, jiggle free buns. WOW!! I think that so far this is the best. Pam does this move called hot cross buns that's tough. The rest of the tape is tough too!! My butt hurts ;). Yes even with all the Cathe that I do. Pam useses that transfirmer in a different way that made it burn afterwards. Jiggle free, I sure hope so. Good cardio moves as well. Short tape, 32 minutes long.

Ultimate Caore Blaster with Stephanie was good too. I wanted to do this because I loved express cardio so much. The tall box climbs were my fav. She makes you do the vertically, and wow, what a difference. Stephanie know how to make you use the tall box to it's full advantage. The cardio sequences were good too. I had to bump up the intensity or I didn't really feel them, but once I did, I got a great sweat.

Now about the box, very sturdy. I'm taking the other two to the garage this afternoon. I won't have any need of them. This box is great. It's like a bigger version of BSS3's box. Very good. I like the various ways that they use the step. I'm glad I can use it outside the firm. I was upset at having to buy some new equipment, but very, very worth it. Very stable and comfy.

I blame all of you. Yup took the offer the firm sent me and ordered the new dvd's. I can't wait, but yikes gotta stop using the credit card.
 
Got in lower body split the am. Holy cow it's an hour long and you do a ton of squats. If you want intense lower body this is the one.

Whew! Today, I did my first Cathe workout!!!! :banana: It's called High Step Training and it was intense! :earseek: I love it though! I had to modify somewhat because of all the leg presses (gotta watch my knees), but it is a great workout! I also added in 15 pound weights for the first time. :Pinkbounc Thanks Kimmy Kim! :hug:

I'm really thinking about getting BSS4 or maybe some new Cathe DVDs. Not sure which ones or when, but hopefully soon. :teeth: Thanks for the review Sheree! :goodvibes

Tracy, don't ya just love Cathe!!!! Man doing these new firms are great, but I'm like hearing Cathe in my head. 15 pound weights, how wonderful. Is the high step training a beginner workout? I have one, but I sure do want some more. Thank God for Fittv. I too want to get some new workouts. Cathe's new series is so pricy though.

Now on to another review. Today I did jiggle free abs and jiggle free arms!

Jiggle free arms was good. Shorter than I would have liked but good. Stephanie did a good job, but again, not long enough. The step segments were great and the arm movements effective. I really like the new format, and being able to see everyone.

Jiggle free abs was WONDERFUL. I might be adding this onto most of my workouts. Allie was great. She really got those abs working with new and innovative moves. Some of them reminded me of the things that Taebo does with your abs. I really felt lots of her moves. I was happy because I didn't realize how strong my abs had bbecome. I did the whole 25 minute tape with no modifications at all. Was really impressed with this workout.

After yesterdays jiggle free buns I can say ouch. Legs are hurting. I was so mad at Stephanie when she started that step routine!!! I was stepping and half crying at the same times. I know I've got in a good wrkout when I'm that sore afterwards!!!
 
15 pounds weights, holy mother that is amazing!
 
Hi gang! Just checking in. This morning I did Cathe's boot camp work out. I always think of you Sheree when I do this one!

Yesterday it was Super Cardio Sculpt which is always a great work out. I'm down 3 pounds but won't claim it until Sunday which is official weigh in day.

Sheree - thanks for sharing the reviews of BSS4. I'm trying to be good and resist but this one sounds so exciting! Can you use the new box with all the previous BSS work outs?

Cam - hey there! So glad you found your way over to our thread. I hope you are enjoying your Firm work outs. It sounds like you may have BSS2 if you have the sculpting stick. Post often so you can be encouraged and if you have any questions about the work outs, just ask away!

Lisa, yes you can. I threw mine away this morning. It will fit perfectly with BSS4 and 3. Simply because it just fits together. Now I have a great step/bench for both my firm and Cathe workouts. We both know you don't have to do Cathe on a high step (skinny one) I am so excited. Plus I'll start using the 8" with the cardio step workouts.

s&k's mom, when you start working out with those 15 pound weights, you feel like you've made progress. I think I'm ready for a pair of 20's! Then one of you will have to come to my home and pick me up off the floor ;)
 
DS was restless this am so couldn't get in the upper body portion of the dvd, but he has track practice so we'll be running around the gym for a while.
 
I'm finally taking a rest day after 9 days straight of exercise. :( I wanted to exercise so badly this morning!!!!!!!!!! It took everything in my power not to. Oh well. I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!!
 
Thursday I did Super Cardio Sculpt and part of Firm Abs. Friday was a rest day and today was Push-Pull (one of the KickButt series). I know my arms are going to be sore tomorrow.

Got in about 50 minutes of the 61 minute upper body split dvd this am. I like this one as it has a lot of ab work. I think I'll get in some cardio tomorrow.
 
I thought my arms would be sore from yesterday's workout, but it turned out to be my glutes that are hurting today. Anyway, I did Steamin' Cardio this morning. I may have to have an unexpected rest day tomorrow to give my muscles more time to recover.
 
Good morning, got in taebo cardio this am. I've realized that it's good for me to mix in other tapes besides the firm. To mix up the moves a bit, I noticed different part are sore after using a different workout. Besides there is a mother of six who is one of the taebo folks and holy smokes what abs she has.
 
Hello firmies!!!

Yesterday was Aerobic Body Shaping with Allie DelRio. It was a great workout. She uses different nmoves that are pretty effective. Again I must say that I'm used to much tougher cardio work and find that I like the cardio harder. THe weight workout portion is really good however, and Allie looks great.

This morning was Allie's 10 minute add on for lower body. Good workout on the step, but really kinda short. Next time I will add ankle weights to bump up the workout.

I also did Supercharged Sculpting led by Pam. It was great. I love sculpting and using my heavy weights. Her lower body is excellent!!!! This woman really know how to make your lower body workout to the max! :cheer2:

So, now I've done them all but the ab add on and the stretch add on..

Tonight I'm gonna do that and pam's Jiggle free buns.

I'm still glad that I got this set. the jiggle frees alone are so worth it.

Sheree- You lucky duck you got your BSS4. I haven't received mine yet. I e-mailed CS this morning because I ordered the first day it came out and haven't gotten it yet. Its in the warehouse and I have a UPS shipping number, but its not in the system yet. I can't wait to get it. It's probably a blessing in disguise because I'd probably over do it and with the marathon this weekend I shouldn't be overdoing it.


I did Body Sculpt. the ab section of Super Body Sculpt and 5.5 miles on the TM on Saturday. I'm slightly sore in the legs. Probably from lifting heavy and then walking/running on the TM. It was a little over 2 hours that I worked out. I slept really good.

I will probably get on the TM for 30 minutes tonight and maybe do AB Sculpt. I have to take it easy this week.

Hopefully I'll have BSS4 next week and can get back into FIRMing FULL time after my 1/2 marathon this weekend.
 
Melanie, I ordered mine the first day too. I'm not sure why it got here so soon, but I'm so very happy. I'm loving the sculpting workouts as they are so much fun. SInce I'm not training for anything, that means I can work my butt off (literally I hope :) )
