So. I understand the attraction behind letting off a few fireworks at the stroke of midnight on New Years. But at 2PM? My poor dog ran out of his bed, under the living room table and refused to come out! He was so scared we had to stay up with him into the small hours

yep some people don’t care only thinks about themselves. I also have a dog that’s scared of fireworks and gun shots the other dog doesn’t bother it.

It was bad here from just before sunset through midnight. I always worry something will catch fire, and I am glad I have a concrete home and roof.

I got out at 2:42AM for my first bicycle ride of the New Year and the fireworks were still going off.

I think people are just trying to scare 2020 & 2021 away, as in, "Get away!Scat!Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya!"
