Fireworks

I I was wondering how loud are the fireworks that you can see from the fort? The reason I'm asking is because I have a dog that gets very nervous from the loud ones and will sit and shake for hours. Fourth of July week is always a bad time around here and I feel sorry for her.

Our dog is the same way. It doesn't bother her. If she still is bothered run a radio or fan to drown it out.

Both Epcot and MK can be heard at the campground. But not at levels at least that would get my pup who is not fond of fireworks wound up. But in the 300 loop my pup never seemed to have an issue with what could be heard.

Yes, you can hear the fireworks inside our motorhome (in 400, 500, 600 loops). Our dog is sensitive to thunder and fireworks and at home will sometimes shake and curl up next to us. We have not had any problems like that at the Fort. When we are there and we hear the sounds, we look over at her and her ears go up, but no shaking. Whenever we go out to the parks, we leave the TV on low (day or night) with the Disney cable channel playing. This muffles the sound of anything outside, and she is fine with it.

The Premium pet friendly loops are 300-900. In keeping with your original question, 900 is furthest away from the MK fireworks noise. 600 and 800 would be your second/third choices interchangeably.

If you look at my signature you'll see I stay in 900 loop when I do Premium (didn't get my request one time and were put in 1000 which was fine). I like it for its proximity to the campfire, pool, and Meadow TP. Even though we are non-pet travelers, 900 has never had any bad pet experiences for me so it's a non-issue.

EPCOT fireworks noise is more a dull thud and barely noticeable since it's so far away.

how is your pup with thunder storms? I would be more worried about the storms than fireworks.

Betty,
Mattie doesn't like storms. Even the wind blowing hard scares her. She is a rescue who was left to die in a a cage meant for a small dog because she didn't have the right pups. She is very skittish. We do use a thunder shirt and Valium when necessary.

Poor Mattie, I'm glad she finally found a forever family that loves her.
