Fireworks!

Does anyone know if there is gonna be a brand new fireworks show due to the new promo???? I heard talk of them removing the POD to WDW or something like that in the future. I wasnt sure if they were gonna do a new fireworks show soon???

The fireworks show they have no has only been there a few years...I am not sure how often they switch it. I wouldn't think they would since this one is so very popular. At least I hope I get to see this one just one last time before a switch is made!! I love it!!

we've been to DL 3 times in the past 2 years and have yet to see the fireworks. We go in November or January and they say the Santa Ana winds are high and prevent the fireworks. Has anyone seen them during Thanksgiving week? We will be back again this November (19-25) and hope we can see them. We saw them multiple times at WDW but would like to see them at DL

To previous poster - I think the DL fireworks show is a completely different one than at WDW.

I really hope they keep this show. I'd like to see it again on our trip in January. It's easily my favorite fireworks show ever.

Ballarinamom, the Santa Ana winds suck and they always ruin the fireworks. Last year the fireworks were cancelled for us in October and one night in December. It’s depressing. I’m not sure how it will be the week you’re going. I would just recommend to plan to watch them the first night you’re there, so if they do go on you will be watching them and if not you can try again the next night…

yeah I doubt it...of course you never can tell but believe came in for the 50th and has stayed ever since...I personally love it....especially all the lighting on the castle..and it really sux they are moving POD to wdw because next year is when I go finally and now I dont get to see a parade specific to wdw

Hmm, I not sure, Jasmine. The Santa Ana’s have been starting up a little here since Monday, I think that’s why it’s been so hot. It’s cooling down though, and it’s supposed to be cooler this weekend. Tomorrow is going to be 69 during the day and 50s in the evening. According to accuweather the wind gusts at night are supposed to be 13mph. I don’t know what that means to the fireworks or how windy it needs to be for them to be cancelled. Saturday it’s going to be 21mph in the evening and Sunday will be 28mph. So my guess would be Friday would be your best bet since the mph’s are less that day compared to the rest of the weekend. I’m not a meteorologist, but that’s what accuweather says…

I know, I just remember we’ll be at MTOTP during the fireworks Friday night! Drats.

I would try and stake out a spot Saturday night just in case, you never know. I have no idea what the most mph wind gusts can be for them to call off the fireworks, so 21mph might be perfect.

I know I LOV These fireworks too. Its just so spectacular. I really dont want them to get rid of them just yet. I want to at least video tape it once before it ends so I always remember those wonderful moments.
