We're staying in a cabin at the Fort Wilderness from 5/28 to 6/1. I was wondering if you can see the MK fireworks from the beach there?

Yes! There's a very nice view from the beach! When you get to the marina, take a right, and walk all the way down the beach to the end. You can drag some beach chairs with you. Nobody is ever that far down there, so it's like your own personal show! :goodvibes

Thats a great tip.. we took advantage of that this year and the view was just perfect.. Just don't forget your flashlight for the walk.. to me it was too dark for comfort! LOL But Well worth it in the end! Another way to get there is go to loop 300 and go to the pet walk area and make a left turn and continue walking and it will take you right there without going to the beach and walking all the way down!

Fireworks are great from the beach...and you don't have to go far to get back to your room !!!!! (like from MK) I love watching them from there.

This past Oct. we never watched the fireworks at MK. We only watched them from the beach. I suppose if you have never seen the show then you might want to watch at the park to get the full effect. I loved watching from the beach though. You didn't have to deal with the crowds leaving the park or on the boat back to the fort.

They aren't every night during the slow seasons. We usually stay 5/6 nights and half of those nights have fireworks. During the busy time, It is every night.

After the fire works we like to kit the outdoor movies and the camp fires.

Fireworks are great -- just don't ask about the music. :lmao:

Sorry, inside joke. You'll get all sorts of answers about where the speakers may or may not be located! or if they even exist. :lmao:

It's fairly new. I think even Disney is making some cutbacks. They don't offer Spectromagic or Wishes every night, during slower periods, anymore. :confused3

There is no music on the beach :)

And it's sad to hear that they have to cutback the fireworks, it stinks to imagine some family not being able to see them.

Last October, DH had a brilliant idea. On our last night trek to the beach, he took his boombox with the soundtrack to Wishes with the intention to sync it with the show.
Ah, so brilliant...so he thought until the show started...it was "Hallowishes." :lmao:

He's going to try it again this December. He's pretty good at syncing. He did it for Illuminations when we were staying at the Swan & Dolphin and it was awesome! So if it works with Wishes, I know where I will be spending most of my nights :)

Actually one time we took a ferry to the Contemporary and watched them from a lookout area they have & came back. Make sure you know what time the ferries stop running because you might have to take a bus to get back. it was an awesome way to get close to the fireworks!
